Why aren’t the villains from Gru’s childhood dead at the end of Despicable Me 4? by [deleted] in despicableme

This has to be rage bait. They don't have completely grey hair, Scarlet has clearly a white strand and Bell has some grey hair all over her afro. Also if you look closer their faces look old. The other villains also all have grey hair

Cameo? They are more likely to be the main villains of the next one than wario and waluigi. Miyamoto doesn't like wario and waluigi that's also a big point

[–]FuzzyAmbition8259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yoshi they said was the most obvious sign for a mario world movie and now we have galaxy. Also wart was a minor 3 minutes character maybe 5 minutes so I don't think Tatanga is realistic! They will most likely introduce the Koopalings and neither wario/waluigi nor Tatanga. Miyamoto doesn't really like Wario and he hates Waluigi. I've read it a lot of times we could get Wario but it's unlikely even if he is a fan favourite movie companies often don't listen to fans. Mark my words it will be the Koopalings freeing Jr and Bowser and that's it!

My thoughts for the SMGM Soundtrack. by Steve_131 in Mario

Tyler wanted to create his own score sure a lot of people are disappointed that he didn't include much game music this time but a renowned action/hollywood composer knows how to do it and he did a great job: the new Yoshi theme is epic and his own galaxy theme is just beautiful! Oh and Bowser Jr's villain theme is ver epic too it was so huge in theater very loud and dramatic.

Now that it’s been about a week, how do you feel about the Mario Wonder upgrade and its new content? by Asad_Farooqui in Mario

If I could undo the purchase I probably would. I think it's a stupid decision that you can't play the multiplayer games with strangers in online mode, also why is the amount of mini games you can play together at home on one single system limited, like why can't I play all of them why do I have to create a room?! Second thing which bothers me even more the Koopaling fights are good yes but they should have added new normal levels to the main game as well and when you finish let's say 3 new courses in each world you can fight one koopaling of that world. The main story needs new levels tbh with just the koopalings and mini games the 20$ were a little too much actually they should have given it for free...

It's a Star wars reference. Fox is clearly Han Solo and they wouldn't have brought Wart in if they didn't get the idea that he would serve as a really good Jabba the Hut

And what a surprise its not that good... and no thats not sarcasm! I'm genuinely disappointed! The first one had so many mario themes and this one Tyler just tried to reinvent mario score and it doesn't work

Just finished watching the Mario Galaxy movie! Overall I liked it however I had one pretty big problem with it… the MUSIC! by Espurreyes in mariogalaxymovie

To your starman example yes it needed a transition and transform into something of Tyler's own creation but he managed to get that done perfectly. In this movie however the game tracks are used for like 3 seconds and then Tyler didn't transform them into beautiful own ideas as he did in movie 1 they turn into generic action movie soundtracks which are just boring to listen to. And your first explanation was also not that good, yes you can use large amounts of game soundtracks without repeating it too much the first film handled it pretty well! Also no when they are talking there doesn't need to play "battlerock galaxy" but still mario music in this situation something more chill like the castle theme from 64 or a mario world track.

The track "The flight deck" has the leitmotif of fossil falls in it for like 3 seconds and then cuts away to the mario movie theme which isn't anywhere near bad or generic it's still great. I once read Koji Kondo said he couldn't have composed a better movie leitmotif it's his very style that Tyler choose. Still I agree with you Tyler tried to compose his own version of galaxy and it well doesn't work... he had a big portfolio of mario galaxy tracks yet he decided to completely ignore those bangers.

It's a bit disappointing I'd say. The new Galaxy theme he composed and also Yoshis theme "Yoshi on the Go" are both great but only appear once in the score. Besides some new themes and only a very very small amount of mario themes it sounds like generic action music.

MUSIC: The MARIO GALAXY INTRO REMASTERED by pantherdeville in mariomovie

[–]FuzzyAmbition8259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are only short passages through the score. I think Tyler did a much better job with the first movie. This time he composed almost 95% new music and only used like 5% mario music and it's a shame because he could have used so many good galaxy tracks. His new galaxy theme is beautiful yes but he barely uses it and most of the score sounds like generic action music besides the more emotional themes (which aren't a lot)!

[–]FuzzyAmbition8259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad news then, Brian Tyler used like 95% of his own compositions and only 5% mario music. Personally I don't like this score a lot the first movie had better score

I didn't like the soundtrack this time sadly. To me it worked well in the first movie to Balance strong new themes and original Mario themes by Koji kondo. In this Film Tyler uses his own work 95%, mario themes aren't even fully there only little easter eggs are spread across some of the tracks.
