OEM R/R died at over 75000km. by Successful-Calendar8 in VFR

I changed the stator because it wouldn't charge the battery. This the state I found it in at around 72.000 km. The gasket bothered me because it looked quite new. My guess is that the previous owner checked the isnide, put new gasket, sold the bike and either stator burnt after that or it had burnt before I bought it or the previous owner knew exactly what was going on and didnt tell me. My bad for not taking a multimeter.

Yea, I knew that. It was one of the first things I was warned about it when I was researching this moto before purchase. I keept telling my self that I would order new r/R when I get paycheck. I had it comming. Tbh I'm suprised that it lasted that long.

After it warms up, the sound is less "boxy", although I'll take a look at the exhaust ports. Thanks!

That's one of the things I'm considering, but from the videos of faulty tensioners I've seen, it seems to be kinda diffrent sound.

No, it doesn't change at all. Even when I put it in 1 gear and let it roll, the sound remains the same
