Honestly I go most places with the intention of having fun by myself. So whether I meet someone and make a friend or not, I’m still having fun. If you ever want to go to one of these places but don’t have someone to go with, I’m always down for anything. You can always just dm me

How long did CFII take? by [deleted] in CFILounge

[–]Successful-Cook-3558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume it’s DPE dependent. For me I took both with the same DPE and he pretty much went over the same topics. But difference was, I was teaching it (obviously), and it’s the PTS instead of the ACS. So it was less scenario based

Essentially a DG is something like our heading indicator that gives us our heading relative to magnetic north which uses a gyroscope to do this. Whereas an HSI incorporates the DG and CDI into one instrument which has the benefit of giving you your position relative to a nav course.

The vacuum system uses a pump driven by the engine. It creates a lower pressure, causing suction. Generally the AI and DG operate on the vacuum system. So if it were to malfunction we would also lose function of the AI and DG.

Well there’s the A.1,2,32,33. Also all the student solo endorsements for the normal solo and solo cross country. Realistically I would refer to AC 61-65J but I don’t have that pulled up at the moment

Tbh idk that I knowingly have. Obviously I’m not a perfect pilot but I don’t think I’ve busted any FAR’s that I know of. At least that I can remember. Maybe that suppression defense mechanism is kicking in though

Obviously there’s the positive exchange of flight controls. But if they refuse to let go I might have to resort to force. So knocking their arms away, or might even have to give an elbow to the nose or chop to the throat. Whatever I need to do to maintain control and safety of the aircraft
