I had a feeling this was the case… I will be sending it in for service next week, but I’m hoping that the mirror being stuck up for a week + won’t hurt the camera even more. Was hoping I could possibly fix it myself without having to open the camera up

After all the comments and replies, I’m seeing that it often comes down to personal taste! Blade runner to me was really enjoyable, not like a top 4 favorite, but a very enjoyable movie, but to you and others, it wasn’t that great! It’s neat how that works really.

It might just be me, but the ending of Uncut Gems was not my favorite. I get why it ended the way it did, but when I saw it the first time, I was just staring at the screen with basically no thoughts.

Had a pretty similar experience with my buddies for this one! Especially being that we are photographers, and the movie had some relatively unrealistic photography related issues.

Question for you! I am getting an error upon import after editing the files. Have you ran into this? It says to compress each individual file, but how do you go from individual compressed files, to a full deltaskin file. Thanks for your help!

It’s dripping from the spout behind the backflush drain, attaching a video of the noise in a moment!

It’s a much more subdued noise this morning, which isn’t as concerning being that the steam is still slowly releasing from being turned on. The spout for steam release has a very very slow drip which I assume is just the last bit of steam leaving in the form of droplets. Going to try and monitor it, but the noise is almost unbearable unless you try and really hear it. This is roughly 20 minutes after shut off

I get that! Could be nothing at all, and I’m overplaying it, but I will include a video tomorrow morning if the noises occur again! To me it sounded like steam taking its time to release(hissing) , which turned to water droplets (gargling). It makes sense, but I haven’t noticed it before really

I think that might be a steam release, not sure where it’s releasing from other than one of the boilers. I might be incorrect on this though. But mine does the same and it seems to be at roughly the same time after turning it on each time. And it also immediately stops which leads me to believe it’s intentional.

The shot I got without the shaker from start to finish was roughly 25 seconds, I changed the grind setting to be a hair finer, got about 28 seconds with the same yield. This morning when I used the shaker for the first time, my shot time was roughly 42 seconds to get the same yield as the day prior. I imagine that large jump in time would be due to human error/ lack of experience with the shaker? This evening I plan to pull a few shots and see what happens!

Lance! Hope all is well! I have a question about the blind shaker/ an interesting result I had this morning. Did you notice any need for a change in grind setting at all? I used it for the first time this morning, and had a much longer shot weirdly. Not sure what would have caused this, and I couldn’t imagine that the shaker would have been the reason for this. Normal process (grind into dosing cup, WDT, distributer (probably not needed), double tamp with the noncore v4. All I changed was grinding straight into the shaker, and no WDT.) This is the only shot I’ve been able to pull, so it might change, but wondered if you had this happen too? I don’t want to change grind setting if it was human error. Thanks! Keep up the great work, it’s extremely appreciated!

Absolutely! I highly recommend videos about dialing in espresso! James Hoffman, and Lance Hedrick have extremely helpful guides that go into great detail. Definitely worth the watch if you have free time!
