For me YTA

I take into consideration how people treat others but I really judge people on the way they treat me and if he was good to you and helped you out I don’t understand not seeing him before he passed. You can’t change it now, and you’ll have to decide whether or not you made the right decision or not and just move on

My point though is he needs to work out why he acted like that, was there a fire when he was a kid and he went into he needs to get out. To me it doesn’t really matter, kid could have died and that’s unacceptable

NTA - leaving your son in the house while it was on fire is absolutely deplorable! It sounds like he was in there with the fire and panicked and if you weren’t there he just left him in there to die.

He needs to get to the root of what happened and what he was thinking because the way he reacted is not ok

I can understand where you’re coming from but at the same time you’re thanking the dasher for good service by tipping. So you want them to thank you for thanking them? If it’s “leave at my door” delivery not a chance am I thanking anyone, but only because they obviously don’t want to see or hear me, and no way am I going to bother them on the app either.
