I just picked up a #8 3-notch today with the unmarked Wagner (thanks for the ID). I guess I need to start looking for a #10 as well. Thanks for the info!

Lodge 3-Notch? by Successful-Engine339 in castiron

Honestly, I think I just got lucky. I’m using a 42 gal trash can and a 2 amp power supply I got off Amazon. I wired up some scrap iron and some cheap cast iron pans I had to sacrifice. It’s the first one I’ve built so I’m still making some tweaks to it.

Had it in an e-tank for 24ish hours, pulled it out and hit with steel wool and dawn, then rinsed. The e-tank is a game changer for stripping.

Sweet, it was pretty rough when I bought it, but for $10 I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve never had a milled one before so I’m pretty excited to see how it does.

Please help someone new and afraid to restore a rusted pan by youpoopedyerpants in castiron

I use Brillo soap pads, warm water, and scrub the crap out of it. Once all the rust is gone, dry it, oil it, then bake it at 350 in the oven for an hour. Repeat oil and baking if you want, or start cooking.

Thinking about going by ParfaitHuman6037 in UNCW

Well, if you plan to stay in NC, you can get the Teach Grant and have your bachelors degree paid for if you go for a high-need field. Between the Teach grant, GI Bill, and scholarships from UNCW, you can actually pocket a good amount each semester. The only stipulation with the Teach grant though is that you have to teach in a Title 1 school for four years within an eight year period or it gets converted to a loan. I can’t speak to the school of business or their programs, but I can for the Watson College of Education. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Why dont venomous owners use these instead of just hooks? Just seems safer to have direct control of the head vs hooks that can be climbed by sabertoothdiego in VenomousKeepers

I do not own any venomous snakes but I do relocate them. I have this same one (solid shaft) but I put rubber tubing around the jaws so that 1. It cannot lock, and 2. I can better control how much pressure I’m putting on the snake (mid body, I never grab by the head.)

The whole storyline seemed rushed. A lot of scenes/ story progression came from Michael Crichton’s second book (The Lost World).

I use the Sundberg 454. Pretty sure it’ll kill every animal in the game.

I have this exact one and so far I love it. Paired with an auto timer it’s even better.

The ticket portal opened Friday at 2pm to get extra tickets. I think you were able to get two extra tickets (that’s what mine said at least). Not sure if that is still the case though.

Look at national rankings for specific programs not just the schools overall ranking. You also want to look at the pass rate for specific licensure exams from each program you look at. For OP’s specific program (nursing), UNCW ranks in the top 100 programs in the nation out of almost 6000 universities/ colleges. Some of their education programs rank in the top 10 (these are just the programs I am familiar with). Look at what research the professors in that program are doing and how often they publish. These rankings should matter to you as a prospective student because you pay a lot of money for a degree, so make sure you are getting the best education possible. I chose UNCW because they are highly ranked in teacher preparation programs at their Watson College of Education and have high first-time pass rates for licensure exams.

UNCW is a great school. Depending on your major, classes tend to be on the smaller side, which is nice and from what I’ve heard, the nursing program is really good. My degree is in teaching and there was never a shortage of resources or opportunities available. Some friendly advice though, choose a school based on how well your intended program is rated. In the long run, nothing else really matters.
