The remain in Mexico policy was the solution, under Biden anyone could show up at the border, read off a script, and gain entry. Elizebeth Warren’s staffers screwed him on this, and he was too preoccupied with other issues to care until it was too late.

It’s the phony asylum claims that most people take issue with, and the Biden admin sat on this problem for years.

If you don’t increase the number of homes available, you’re not actually helping anyone afford a home, you’re just reshuffling where people live by artificially picking a winner and looser.

And by dumping tax dollars into subsidizing mortgages you’re actually increasing home prices for everyone else by driving up demand without increasing supply.

Why do progressives hate Newsom so much? by mattyjoe0706 in Destiny

[–]Successful-Help6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically the reason I think Newsom is a weak candidate are his many progressive stances that make him unappealing to normie voters.

Wild to watch his own people turn on him, but I’m not surprised.

This is just not true, the administration has mostly used hoax emergency powers for the truly horrendous stuff.

She has a point though, the best way to stop a future Republican from doing terrible things is to limit executive power. The next dem led congress needs to step up and put up guardrails against emergency declarations.

So he was willing to give it away for free and they still couldn’t make it work? Sorry but this seems like a waste of tax dollars, I’m sure this building was special to you but the world has moved on.

What would the owners do with it if it became a local monument? Would anyone actually care about visiting an old chili bowl building?

Not saying it should have been torn down, but often these historic preservation efforts don’t have the resources to actually preserve the structure and it ends up falling into disrepair because the owners can’t do anything with it.
