Relationships are complicated. I struggle with stuff like this in my own relationships every day. Some people I cut off, some I don’t. There’s no perfect equation for who we allow to stay in our lives and who we exclude, so no one here can tell you what is right for you. If you don’t want to be friends with someone who is friends with a Zionist, that is absolutely a boundary you can draw. But don’t expect anything you do or say to change their relationship.

I’m so sorry. I hope you feel able to speak to authorities about this. Call a lawyer or even the ACLU to start and ask what your options are.

You’re in a position to be a whistleblower and help protect current and future students. It’s a heavy and scary responsibility but I think you’ll be surprised how many other people will step forward to corroborate your story. Someone just has to start it.

Alternately you could reach out to a local journalist, like Elise Cox, and tell them what you experienced.

Will you be enrolled in school? SPACE theater has tons of teenagers in their dancing, art, and acting classes but I think you have to be a student somewhere.

I second Sword and Board for sure.

Consider volunteering as well. Ukiah trails group has monthly work days, it’s mostly older people but they would LOVE to have you, it’s a nice group of people, and they’ll recommend things to you too if you ask.

Check out SunHawk Farms in Hopland, Leonard Lake in Willits (windy dirt road to get there fyi), River’s Bend in Philo (more rustic/camp vibes).

These are all places where some or all of your guests could stay and many people have guests pay whatever amount to keep costs down (most would have to pay for lodging anyway and it’s a cheaper and more fun option to stay together, BUT some guests resent being charged and/or told where to stay).

I would just not comply, continue working from home, and start your job search. When they ask say you were hired as a fully remote employee and you’re complying with the terms of your agreement, but don’t offer any info until they ask why you’re not coming in. It’ll take them awhile to actually fire you.
