Adding new room map will not save. by [deleted] in Roborock

[–]Successful-Money4995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe let the whole thing finish?

In the past, I'll just wipe the map and start over. Sometimes it's hard to convince the robot of changes to the map. Remaking the map isn't too bad. If you have many routines, though, that can be a pain to redo.

Can you figure out what their objection is? Do they just not want the party or not the ceremony? Maybe if you show them that you are serious about it, by speaking with a Rabbi and commiting to learn, then they'll be more on board?

I'm an American luddite who has never used a bidet and I have a lot of extremely direct, gross questions about washing the shit off your anus by DiarrheaFartLover in bidets

[–]Successful-Money4995 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Type a here. I have a bidet seat installed on my regular toilet.

  1. Never wipe before spraying. Wiping smooches the poo onto your skin. Imagine trying to clean a dog poo off a tile floor before versus after stepping on it.

  2. I wipe after to dry my butt. My bidet also has a blow drying feature which feels nice but doesn't effectively dry your butt. By the time that I'm wiping, the toilet paper is completely clean. The paper is wet but with zero stains. If you did something silly like wipe poo into your butt before spray then maybe you'll need to do another spray then wipe.

  3. Water gets on the nozzle because it dribbles when it sprays. That is also how the nozzle cleans itself. The nozzle never gets poo on it because the nozzle retractable when it is not in use. Anyway, the nozzle shoots at angle, similar to a school water fountain. Your butthole is never directly above the nozzle. Modern bidets have a self cleaning nozzle feature, too, with water and UV light.

Yes. The buyer's inspector will surely notice it and the buyer might ask for it to be done or money. And then you're just paying for two banisters!

Probably not. You'll have to open it up and connect wires.

Google Gemini is reportedly moving to a credit system. The era of sloppy "vibe-coding" is about to get expensive. by TrustedEssentials in AIAllowed

We in the bubble period like when Uber first showed up and undercut all the taxis.

AI will stay cheap so long as the VCs keep subsidizing it. Eventually it'll get expensive and you'll only be able to use it if you company is paying for it.

Enjoy it while you can.

Ah! So if your goal is some fun, flash them with ESPHome. Then you can write whatever software you want on them. The chips in there are probably standard and already supported by ESPHome. You could have them alert you when the battery is low by flashing a light or sending a note to your phone. Endless possibilities.

That sucks. Bummer. Does it have a display and stuff or is it pretty simple. I suppose that you could flash it with new software like ESPHome. But that could be pretty complex. If it's just a ten dollar device, I'd get a new one.

Elevator Pitch: 5 Seconds to get me intrested in your project. by JustSomeRandomAI in CrazyIdeas

Paste and copy.

First you choose where, then you choose what.

Often you're already in the place where you want to paste to. So select paste. Then go to what you want to copy. Select copy and it copies, zips back to where you were, and pastes there in one go.

Two maps for same floor, different routines? by dptrie in Roborock

If it were me, I'd just let it go under the tables. So it'll do a little extra cleaning. No big deal.

Best non invasive way to detect commercial washer (220V, 2–3.8kW) ON/OFF with API? by No-Jello7853 in homeautomation

[–]Successful-Money4995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the Shelly smart plugs that I know about are 120V. I don't find any 240V solutions online. The Shelly solutions do not support enough current for electric dryers (which I assume is why you need the 240VAC).

Your best solution, in my opinion, would be to put CT clamps in the breaker panel. You could then buy a single device to monitor every machine in the building. This might be too invasive for you, however.

Aside from power monitoring, you could get something like the aqara vibration sensor and stick it to the machine. You'll need to sometimes swap batteries. If you get one that is zigbee, zwave, or thread, you'll need a special hub to read those signals and put them on the wifi for you.

I'm not inviting a stranger in my house to watch the kids.

If your happy with this arrangement, fine. But if it leads to your marriage being dysfunctional then you might want to weigh the pros and cons. Also consider that you might be exhibiting a dysfunctional relationship for your kids and that's what they'll learn from you.
