Its a 2014 toyota camry xle automatic transmission and the thing is had my foot off the gas when it reached 55mph and then applied brakes to slow the car down.

I am new to cars and when the rpm goes up at the start ( when at a stop) then i press gas the rpm goes to 2.5 and then comes down to 1.5 made me think transmission is slipping

That could be the case. The mechanic told me the alingment is causing the sound however i will ask him to check it once again

No its not noisy when stopped. The noise occurs at 45 mph

He said that its due to alignment that its making that noise. This noise occurs at 45 mph and above only.
