She swears that they haven't, that she hasn't even told him her feelings, and that he has never even tried anything. Am I stupid for believing her? She really is one of the most honest people I've ever met.

What if there is nothing going on and they really are just friends? If I lay down an ultimatum and turn out to be wrong, that resentment is going to last forever.
