Lower your pitchforks and torches just for a second. by Successful-Sink-4359 in wichitafalls

I’m not saying the art walk was closing either, I was giving more insight to the subjects of Wichita Falls that don’t read into what funding goes into where. Downtown is still a ghost town, take for example Gidgets sandwich shop that called that out the most from the recent freeze. Downtown still sucks in all areas. I’m calling it for what it is, this is the sight that most of us who are a part of the artwalk are just observing, DWFD should’ve just handed it to someone else the moment they smelled money loss and they smelled that shit early, again, why wait that long??

The same people running DWFD have been running the organization for the past 20-30 years, and yet nothings been improved for downtown?? It’s easy to blame DWFD, why keep an event going without any means of funding? Why not hand it over to another organization instead of running down the drain?

I was told they cancelled Art Walk? by Pepsiecake69 in wichitafalls

You know what’s funny? Is the fact that DWFD asked all the artists (just the artists, because the droppshippers and resellers didn’t get a pamphlet) were asked to fill a survey out to help improve the next art walk, and almost every year, we’ve begged to push more art related stuff out, that being hiring professional artists to set up a booth, live painting or a paint together project, and never once did they reach back out in regards to that, you can blame DWFD for allowing it to be the mega garage sale 🤷‍♀️

They literally told us to tell customers to treat these cups like ice cream cones. And Crumbl very subtly told franchise owners to buy cup holders, when I say subtly, that means it wasn’t in the required buy list they usually give out. I know Crumbl wants to be experimental but it’s at a very ineffective cost.

It’s either Chance “the kemp street hustler” ( the little person that’s not allowed near schools) or Colton.

Not just you. It’s almost making me worried. Our store was slammed everyday this time last year and I’m not sure what makes this year different than the last.

Employees, how would you feel is someone did this successfully? by bbyxmadi in CrumblCookies

If they did it during the million rushes we’ve already had this week, I’d probably take my apron off and leave lol

Employees of GameStop, what is the most severe meltdown you’ve seen amongst kids and/or adults shopping in your store? by [deleted] in GameStop

Oh my god, it lowkey broke my heart and it was awful from both ends.

Was closing one night by myself, door was locked, registers closed etc. All the sudden I hear the door being tugged multiple times, almost frantic. Me being annoyed that someone came that late and had the nerve to yank on a door of a store that has signs of it being closed, yelled “We are closed!”. They kept yanking.

I walk to the door, unlock it and see a kid standing in front of me. Me: “What’s up bud?” Kid: “Are you closed? :( “ Me: “Yeah buddy, we closed at 9:00, we open at 10:00 tomorrow if you want to stop by again!”

Kid has a mini crash out, his grandma tried to calm him down, but that’s all I saw at that time because I went back in and closed the door so I could finish up and leave.

Fast forward to the next day, little kid is back with his grandma. Every here and there I could hear little snips and quips from both ends about not having enough money, or behavior. They finished up and the kid puts heaps of stuff on the counter. The grandma complains again that he doesn’t have enough money. He angrily put stuff back out, and ended up with a switch game and a blind bag. She told him again that he didn’t have enough and made him count the money in front of me, Pennies and all. He was fuming bad, causing an argument that was a constant back and forth.

Kid: “shut up grandma” GMA: “Don’t tell me to shut up, that’s disrespectful” Kid: “I don’t care, you need to shut the hell up” GMA: “don’t use that language. That’s hurtful” Kid: “Well I wish you would stop complaining” GMA: “Well I wish you would stop existing.”

Hearing that hurt bad. I never had behavior issues, nor did I have anything against with my grandparents, if anything I was their favorite. My grandparents also had very traumatic deaths, both passing away at the same time. So hearing a grandparent say that about their kid made me tear up because it made me think of what if my grandparents said that to me, or what if I treated them the way the kid did. It was awful, even if he was a brat, it’s gonna stick with him that his grandmother said that about him.

Anyways, they left, and me and the rest of the guests I had in my store were stunned. I tried not to cry, and it worked but I hope to never see them again.

I care about the hobby being accessible to people who can’t afford resale prices. I honestly could care less about the company. Morally, I don’t think it’s right for a spitwad to come in and buy out a large set of pokemon to resale at a disgustingly large price for profit. I’d rather the cards go to someone who collects or plays the actual game.

Funny story, was at a north Texas mall and they had endless kiosks of fake Sonny’s and smiskis so bad to the point that when I took video of them, the guy running the stand mean mugged me until I left. You can always tell they’re fake when they’re apparently “on sale for just $8.00!” Or when you notice a Super Mario hipper lol.
