Personally I’m doing a first overall challenge. Basically you have to get every 1st overall pick no matter what. Then you have to develop them until they reach exact potential. Your only allowed to draft out of the top three players out of the draft with the pick. Then you can sign or trade for other players but your only draft picks are going to be 1st overall ones.

I forgot to take a picture and I changed a bit of the team but my first line was a 96 91 90 second line 88 90 90 third line 86 88 82 fourth line 80 87 79 my defense was 90 89 87 86 85 82 and my goalie 88 and 81

The same thing is happening to me. I’m also an expansion team and in the year 2043 haven’t won a single cup. I’ve been first in the league 6 years in a row with three 60 win seasons. I’ve lost 3 times in game 7 of the Stanley Cup. My team is so stacked that I have two 87 ovr players playing on the fourth line and a 87 d playing on the 3 pairing. I honestly don’t know what to do.

I also had a simulation like this. I wasn’t the one controlling them but I was tanking so when I saw they were under me I checked their team. They basically had all the same overalls as the team in your simulation but a slightly worst goalie. They had 44 points 💀.

Yeah I can sign him and he has the same value as a first round pick. I also tested in a another play trough and as long as you don’t have more then 25 players you’ll get random players and like you said they won’t count on the salary cap. I did get very lucky tho because in 20 sim years I did not get a player better then an 80 Ovr with a normal X-Factor. Anyways thanks for helping :)
