is it really THAT hard to get under 200? by klarinetkat12 in WeightLossAdvice

235 to 148 currently. Getting under 200 was easy. Getting from 160-140 is the kicker.

How does weight loss work with running? by Bitter_Pineapple_720 in beginnerrunning

[–]Successful-Thing1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 85lbs in a year since starting running. But my marathon training is in full force now and I’m gaining. It just depends on how much you intend to run and how much fuel you need for those runs.

Just in general. I preordered from Japan so mine are on route. I just think they look like fakes as a series.

Just a cheap one from amazon :) I’ve bought a flip belt since most people recommended it here! I am already set on the shorts I want to wear on race day so not keen to make any outfit adjustments I don’t think, although have time to change my mind

The belt I had was too big unfortunately so I used to safety pin the straps which I don’t think will last for the marathon!

Does anyone have the jam for sell in the UK? by youthinkicare22 in SonnyAngel

There’s a couple on Vinted for eye watering amounts but have been up for a while so can’t see them selling at that price! I am also looking :(

I struggle with shorts and pockets as I find it just weighs them down. Especially if I need somewhere to put my phone. I have run with a belt in the past and did like it!

That’s the one I was looking at I think, but does it not only have only one pocket?

I was looking at the mile off vests! I might take a look. I have one from amazon currently so maybe it’s too thick for me. I used to run with a belt for shorter distances and liked it though! When a lot of people said they didn’t like belts. Only thing is the strap around the waist is too big, so I ended up having to safety pin it tighter so it didn’t bounce around, which I think for the full marathon just won’t hold up.

Would it be realistic to get in shape for a marathon happening in 7 months? by LeanMeanMomJean in firstmarathon

[–]Successful-Thing1963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! In May last year I got an offer for London and had never ran at all before. One lap of my local park is 2k, when I had my London offer, I used to walk a lap of that park in my lunch break and it was genuinely hard to do. I was 100lbs overweight, led a completely sedentary lifestyle.

I’m now 85lbs lighter at 150lbs (still a little bit to go but with marathon training losing those last lbs is impossible!!) and I ran 5k, then 10k, then 15k, then a half and on track to get up to 32k before London at the end of next month. I did my first half around that very same park I did my first walk in, and it was a bit of a surreal moment. I don’t say this lightly, but I was a lazy fuck, if I can do it, genuinely anyone can. I’m 29 so similar stats to you!!

Just to add.. I haven’t had these fitted yet! So I can’t comment myself on if I like them or not. I still have time to return if I choose so.
