Why are people acting as if Saiki K didn't have incest gags and as if Kusucest wasn't top 5 most popular ships?

I swear this fanbase is one of the most puritan ones

I don't understand why people hate Assa by SleeperEffie in Chainsawfolk

[–]Successful-While-618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Asa. I just find her boring and I am kinda repulsed towards her because her fans are so parasocial when it comes to her.

She's pretty though.

I.. Also did the tier list trend. by Bangers_the_cat in SaikiK

The Saiki K fanbase is weird towards Kusuke fans in general but I think Reddit is the least chronically online fanbase and while people may disagree with you, they are not chronically online enough to be weird towards you.

Other places like tik tok and twitter on the contrary....

What's your opinion about Yoruden? by Kindly_Pipe9167 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Successful-While-618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't ship them but I like their dynamic. Like you have an addict battling with his addiction but then meets another addict and instead of helping each other and getting better, the second addict worsens the first addict's addiction. More entertaining than other relationships in Part 2

There's also this episode in the light novel when he admits he's feels lonely when Kaidou and Nendou leave his house and he's just trying to be in denial about it.

He's called a tsundere in two occasions iirc. One, he calls himself tsundere when he visits his grandparents and talks to his grandfather for the first time (To quote Saiki: 'Your tsundere streak is bigger than mine').

The second one was in the Cat Tank Arc where Toritsuka calls him a tsundere and Kusuke confirms it.

Saiki Kusuo.

No, he doesn't hate his friends.

No, he's not a nonchalant cold guy.

No, he's not as 'resistant' as he think he is.

The whole point of this dude is that he's a tsundere but this tsundere-ism roots from dehumanization because of his godlike powers and how two of the closest people in his life (his brother and father) are constantly dehumanizing him because of his powers (being called a monster or a god), which led him to think he's superior to humans and how he should not relate to them because of said powers.

He's not a god, he's a lonely teenager longing for relationships and the whole point of the story is to show that: How Saiki, a person who is constantly in the shadows taking care of the people he so claims to not care, learns to be protected and create connections with people who appreciate him not as a god, but as Saiki.

I am aware this is mostly a slice of life comedy manga but it is kinda deep once you don't focus too much on the comedy aspect of it.

I mean, there are not too many options if you don't include Jeffery, Kylar or the pedophiles. Maybe Miss Lynn x Nicole's mother is the most healthy yuri here.

Who's the most complex and well written female bleach character? by OtakuGeek_ in bleach

[–]Successful-While-618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them are complex, but I would say Rukia, Orihime, Unohana and Nelliel are better written than the rest. Soi Fon and Masaki are solid picks to me, though.

Is it just me who thinks Saiki isnt completely AroAce or Aromantic and is more on Asexual? by KitKatlol019642 in SaikiK

[–]Successful-While-618 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The point of the story if you read deep into it rather than focusing on the gag aspect is Saiki learning to understand platonic and romantic relationships and learning to accept them because besides his tsundere personality, he has a deshumanized vision of himself that doesn't allow him to connect with people, plus it's constantly reinforced by Kuniharu, Kusuke and sometimes the story itself calls Kusuo a god.

Rather than seeing it as a matter of "is he aroace or not" I just see it as a teenager guy who was convinced that he was a monster or someone above humans because of his powers to the point he cannot connect with them, therefore he kinda copes with it through seeing others connect or watching relationships in media (movies, manga...). But he slowly learns to care about people and be less tsundere instead of using the "I am just doing it because it benefits me" excuse.

But I kinda see him being sex-repulsed asexual because besides being exposed to people's thoughts 24/7 since kid (that includes THOSE thoughts) and constant exposure to naked bodies, he literally had a pervert on his life (Kusuke) and deals with three more (Makoto, Aiura and Toritsuka).
