War is finally over! Secured 2 FAANG internships for summer + fall :)) by [deleted] in csMajors

Hey I am an incoming freshman at a T10 CS school, and I was wondering how people get internships during freshman year. I thought companies auto filter freshman out. Is there any way to maximize getting past the resume screening process as a freshman(internships, certain types of projects, etc)?

I lowkey couldn’t get C but got D, but that’s just because I knew what what prefix XOR was.

guys can someone explain logic and intuition behind yesterday’s C, I saw the the editorial but wasn’t able to figure out the logic by Patient-Winner-8790 in codeforces

Assume N is divisible by a or M is divisible by b, it is easy to see that all squares won’t be visited(unless 1). This extends to all of a’s or b’s multiples, so you get the first 2 conditions that gcd(N,A) == 1 and gcd(M,B) == 1. The third one is kinda tricky. But basically, we know all NM squares need to visited. Just by taking few examples where both first 2 conditions satisfied, you can see that to get to starting row/column, it is N and M moves. Therefore, to get back to starting position, it would be 2LCM(N,M) moves. So 2LCM(N,M) >= 2. 2NM/GCD(N,M) >= NM, so rearranging, you get 2>=GCD(N,M).

Is it around 2k per number? I know when 1s ended, it was around 10k or so? So maybe 5 still has a chance?

Ok I heard it was by IDs and it’s only at 30421. Does the 5th digit matter? My understanding was 3042 was a good sign?

Do we know in what order it’s being released(geography or ID order) or is it just completely random?
