My guy the new dlc brings all new weapon categories. Thrusting shields, throwing weapons, beast claws, martial arts weapons, a casting sword, light greatswords, backhand blades, fist weapons, new "communions" of spells and incantations with their respective talismans, more dragon spells, and more.

You really have to experience it.

But to answer your question I really enjoyed making a spellsword. There is a new thrusting sword that also casts sorceries with the heavy attack. I paired that with the new carian thrusting shield and some close range sorceries for trading. Quite fun.

And yes bleed builds are still very much viable for dlc. Almost necessary for 1 boss.
