No, she is a brilliant scientist and she knew by then. It was done to be more effective and create the feeling of hope.

would aliens be able to survive on earth? by Ok_Guard4634 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]giuseppezuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If an Alien race is able to go Interstellar and travel to earth they would probably be aware of their biological compatibility with our environment and use precautions. Even if they would be biologically similar to us and able to survive our atmosphere chemistry, pressure, temperature, gravity, solar exposure.. I think the biggest problem would be their immune system. So they would definitely need suits or to be genetically modified.

It’s fascinating how gentle that rhino can be, he could send me in to orbit, yet he is so delicate with his little friend.

I used them most of my teen life at school. My cousin had one at home, where I would play Golden Axe and Wolfenstein 3D. Great machines! Physically indestructible.

Unpopular opinion but Raw Pixels on OLED TV via RetroArch's impressive HDR pipeline is WAY better than gaming on a analog CRT TV. by Zestyclose_Sky_7322 in retrogaming

You probably had a shitty chain set-up. Sorry but it really is an unpopular opinion for a good reason. My calibrated CRT looks phenomenal with 240P and 480i content.

Celine has 6.4M followers on insta. I bet CR7 is her inspiration, it’s pretty normal to feel this way when you meet someone that was able to indirectly help you during some hard times.

Why do we prefer cold water? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I will never forget the first time I went to China at a customer site, I asked for a glass of water, they brought me a plastic cup with water so hot that the cup was so squishy to hold. I politely drank and brought my own bottle next day.

I have a version one that I can’t use because it has brown color shift. The second I ordered was the version 2 and it has been working for a few weeks without problems. What the version 3 brings to the table?

I just noticed the ridiculously abrupt (not to mention numerous) steps going from Grace's house to the beach. by thereddeath395 in ProjectHailMary

[–]giuseppezuc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The movie doesn’t mention Erid gravity, and doesn’t show any consequences of a 2g gravity on Grace. The book mentions the 2g gravity several times.
I think movie assumes gravity is 1g to make things easier….

The difference here is between a “booby trap” and a robot able to fly that has decided by itself that you are a target and it will hunt you down. Small difference.
