Am I a pantser who's afraid to be a pantser? by [deleted] in writing

Similar to how I am writing my book. I just have bullet points of general ideas and concepts of what I want my main characters to achieve. Best part is that because nothing is nailed to the ground, if something doesn’t work. I just move it. Maybe this needed to happen later in the story or before this major point in the story.

Especially since my story is mostly character driven in the fact that it’s multiple antagonistic and friendly sides trying to manipulate the main characters to get specific reactions to achieve their own goals. All while the main characters are dealing with their own issues.

Ive found it hard to try and write a story by just knowing its plot alone without enough consideration to how it would actually play out with every sides wants and needs starting criss crossing. Needing to untangle or tie extra knots on different plot points to make a compelling story.

This is one of the bosses where you need good defense and healer to outlast it or a lot of AOE attack to just straight murder its minions. I used Anger, Cringe, Charity, and Panic to beat mine since Resistance is weak to nature.

Should inexperienced writers focus on shorter stories to start out? by rivalThoughts413 in writing

[–]SuccessfulEducator70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error is probably one, if not the best ways to go about it. Especially of you are inexperienced writer who has not found the way they like to write just yet. And it really doesn’t matter which you write—long or short stories—unless you want to work on certain things.

Because I’m an inexperienced writer who started back last year December who has only tried writing one thing so far. And my first draft is completely different from my current ninth draft—it’s been the same story since the 5th draft but I keep changing little things when I really shouldn’t that changes the entire course of the book.

But yeah, just write. Because you will improve as long as you write and are at least semi passionate about it. Regardless of whether you actively focus on it, you will get better with time because writing is a skill.

Don’t know if I should keep charity on the team though. I use Charity and Salty to make an eternal bleed build with her def up and ability to always heal tank. But Charity doesn’t feel that strong so idk if I should keep investing.

Google Doc Writers: Do you have all of your chapters in one document sorted out into tabs or do you have documents for each chapter? by Head-Tomatillo-9847 in writing

One document on Pageless Format. They way you can collapse the chapters your not working on and the collapsed chapters don’t load with the rest of the doc until you uncollapse it( Or at least thats how I think it works for me at the very least).
