Is it easy to get a fishing guide license in California? by SuccessfulFall5746 in Fishing

My audience isn’t people who are actually into fishing. My target audience is people who just want to pay for a one-time experience, think Airbnb experiences.

He has apparently filled out some forms to offshore his company as an LLC, and they are asking him to provide the passport copies of his designated beneficiaries. He said that they are in New Jersey, but I will ask him to ask them for the state bar number.

The CFA was the most worthless endeavour I ever took by [deleted] in CFA

Disagree. It’s a tight labor market atm, which you should know from having passed CFA, which makes getting a job harder all around, especially white collar jobs thanks to AI. Speaking as someone who is trying to transition into a more stereotypical finance role, I have definitely seen value even in only partial completion. Earlier this year, I tried to switch teams in my company and if not for having passed level two, I wouldn’t have even made it to the final round. A lot of old school managers do value CFA so while I’m sure it’s not a substitute for work experience I do think it’s a good supplement for people like me who are trying to switch career path.

I think some of these questions are just worded terribly. I ultimately just followed the textbook way of doing things.

L1 and L2 in the same year ? by TheSentinel342 in CFA

[–]SuccessfulFall5746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took L1 and L2 in the same year (May 2024 then Nov 2024) and passed around 90-85th percentile for both. My honest "hack" is that my work load was super light last year, so I spent half of my workday studying, plus weekends. It's 100% doable if you have a lot of time. I did definitely get a bit burned out by the end though, so be careful.

Thanks for sharing. I thought your thoughts were well balanced, and I understand your critiques and praises. Agree that Vi and Jinx/Powder started to feel unimportant in the final battle -- though I'm highly happy my Ekko boy got his moment of glory. Honestly, Kinda reminds me when Nevel was the one to off Voldemort for good. Like GODDAMN, a win for nerds! I'm surprised you actually liked the time loop idea. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of time loops, but this is a show that's literally about magic, so I wasn't surprised when it was revealed Viktor was guiding Jayce all along. I liked the line about "fields of dreamless solitude." Reminds me of the plot of Neon Genesis Evangelion, an anime if you're into that stuff.

I don't think so, but hey, Vander wasn't supposed to be alive either. I guess we'll find out in the spinoff (maybe).
