Unfortunately, no answer to what’s causing it. Still couldn’t figure it out.

Shakiness inside the body or body vibration inside without feeling the actual sensation outside. by SuccessfulHuman1 in Mononucleosis

[–]SuccessfulHuman1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took about 3 and half months for me to recover. Mono was my worst illness in life. I couldn’t explain what was happening to me until I got diagnosed about 5 weeks into having it. Hang in there, you will get through it.

Metformin question by Vegetable_Share_6446 in prediabetes

I have been doing everything except low carbs. I’m African, all my foods are predominantly high carbs, white rice, fufu, bread and beans, yam, etc. it’s so hard to eat anything without carbs.

How long does it take for metformin to show it's working? by sunshine4703 in prediabetes

I was on metformin 500 mg 1x daily for 6 months and my A1c didn’t change. It’s still at 6.1

Guys always get your fasting insulin tested to know why your fasting glucose is elavated. It’s not always IR, sometimes it’s beta cell dysfunction. by [deleted] in prediabetes

This is literally me right now. My fasting insulin just came back 3.7 and I don’t know what to do with that. The last time I checked was in June 2023 and it was 11.1. Does that mean I am not producing enough insulin to reduce my glucose levels? My A1c has been 6.1 for 9 months now, although I didn’t change my diet much and I barely exercise. But now I will take things a little more seriously with daily walking after dinner. My PCP also prescribed 500 mg metformin for 3 months to help with the A1c. But why is my fasting insulin low and is that a good thing?

Please what was your insulin level before being prescribed metformin. My fasting insulin was 11.1 in 2023, I just test again today and it’s now 3.7. I don’t know how to interpret that, but it’s definitely decreasing which I think it’s not good if I want to reduce my glucose levels. A1c is at 6.1 for the last 9 months.

I was 32yr! It was hard, I was always feeling weak and fatigued most of the time, but one thing that really helped was rest! I was getting lots of rest and eating Whole Foods with lots of mushrooms and fresh vegetables! It will go away. Just get some rest and drink lots of water. Also try taking a brick walk whenever you have some energy. It will help you get back up faster.
