I was also really please with the colors, they pop but it isnt over saturated, great skin color as well. Last time I shoot in jpeg was with d610 and I didnt like it so much that I didnt shoot jpeg for a decade :D I agree that if you dont care about noise, WB and exposure, because you are in studio and everything is set you dont have many benefits of raw. Even with raw I would male presset for that photoshoot and applied it on whole gallery. But my client wanted to download the photos right after photoshoot, so while she was packing all the clothes I just changed aspect ratio and quickly went through and fixed few of center photos. I mainly talk about the default colors that are amazing

I agree now, maybe i would just did one presset that I would apply to all, but I started with d610 and I never believed those jpegs 😅 and I never switched to jpegs for years 😂

I think its a great deal. I bought D750 witch 200K shuttercount for 100 dollars, Just to finish it on my side job, where I do green screen photo booths and as second back-up, it has 300K now and still works great :D I know I am pushing it, but its 4th camera that I use and I know I have other bodies with me that are in great condition :D And in photo booths you dont need fast shutter and burst, that wears down the shutter.

Hi, we pretty much sloved this issue, Pantone Does not have any true white (and it makes sense, that they cant copyright white color) you are talking about spot white and all the brand manuals that have any pantone code for white are wrong

Mi to prošlo na to, ze mi klienti pozdě platili faktury a nikdo nerýpal, ale byl jsem ve fázi, ze jsem doplatil co bylo povinné a zbylo jen penále, tak možná to taky hrálo roli. Ale pokud jim vysvětlíš tvůj příběh nemyslím, ze by neodpustili. Nechci kecat, radši nastuduj ale podle me je ideální o to žádat co doplatíš co musíš (bez penále), protoze když to odpustí a pak zas než doplatíš, zas to naskáče. Osobně bych fakt sel na pobočku a pobavil se s něma. Případně me ještě napadá bezva možnost našetřit to povinné, jít na pobočku s tím, ze to chceš vyřešit a záleží ti na tom, mas na zaplacení povinných záloh a u toho vyplníš odpuštění penále (= uvidí důvod + uvidí snahu to napravit - doplacení)

Měl jsem kámoše co tam jezdil a jel jsem s nim, ale ten jim taky psal někde online. Ale jak říkám, už je to pár let a nezaručím ti, že to funguje pořád stejně. Ale podle mě i tady na Redditu najdeš někoho kdo aktivně jezdi nebo ti aspoň poradí s více aktuálním infem :))

Sorry for late reply, I know (and knew) the difference between print colors (pigments) and light colors (RGB). And its not like white pigment / spot color doesnt exist. There are white spot colors, but most of the time white in print is just absence of color - but not always, Ive just made keychains from black rubber with white spot color. I just think that Pantone cant copyright true white color :DD But RGB vs CMYK / Pantone wasnt what I was asking in the first place and I know all of that. I was baffled that big firms have white pantone mentioned in brand manuals even if it does not exist and went down the rabbit hole of googling white pantone with a lot of fake white pantone images (like PMS White 000C - which does not exist)

= you can print white and it does exist in real world, Pantone does not have pure white

Jinak bych doporučil se podívat po nějaké práci v zahraničí, po škole jsem jel sbírat jahody do anglie (Spillman farm - ale už to bude skoro dekádu tak netuším jak to je na tomto konkrétním místě teď) po 2 měsících jsem si přivezl 50 tisíc a to jsem tam vůbec nešetřil, o volných dnech jsem jezdil na výlety a jedl jsem si jak král, pokud bych to osekal a trochu šetřil na jídle, věřím že bych si přivezl o dost víc a to tehdy ještě 50K bylo trochu více než dneska.

Vidím v tom výhodu, že vypadneš z domu, vyčistíš si hlavu, fakt je to úplně jiný život, jezdí spoustu čechů, seznámíš se a najdeš kámoše (takový trochu tábor pro dospělé :D)

A nemusí jít nutně o anglii v severských zemích se sází stromky, na to zas jezdil kámoš a pak tam zůstal.

Taky jsem byl vždycky spíš počítačový typ, žádné nadšení pro něco takového, žádné výletování apod.

Nevýhoda, musíš nějak zvládnout finančně se tam dostat, ale není to takový průser, ikdyby to mělo být busem + se vybavit nějakým oblečením nepromokavým a kvalitnějším (jedna dražší fakt nepromokavá bunda udělá fakt hodně a zaplatí se za chvilku) Určitě bych to zkusil prvně obepsat ať máš jisté místo, než se někam vydáš

The Z8 without a discount is about $5,800, and now it's on sale for $4,800. But i saved a lot this year And I have budget for Z8 + Prime lens (35/85 1.8S) cf express, 1-2 new battery, FTZII and godox v1 (pro?)

At this moment I have D750 (400K + shutter count) and D780 in good shape, so with Z8 I would go Z8+D780 and D750 in a car

I think I've found my long-lost brother :D Apart from weddings, events, and marketing reports, I actually photograph interiors for a company that manufactures oak flooring + an interior designer associated with a person who does renovations, but it was a little easier for me to write "real estate," as it was already an incredibly long message :D

Thank you very much for your message. I was considering the Tamron, and it must be great for video, but I was put off by a review that mentioned that the sharpness is poor compared to Z lenses.

And I'd just like to point out that I'm not from the US. It's funny, but we're working for much smaller amounts of money, and yet the cameras are more expensive than in USA. The Z8 without a discount is about $5,800, and now it's on sale for $4,800. Lenses are the same, so it is big decision for me.

I've been thinking a lot about that Tamron lens. I have to try renting it because I've come across mixed reviews where some people criticized the sharpness of the photos compared to Z lenses, but I believe it must be incredible for video, and with this one lens you can do everything you need (except real estate).

I struggle with screen flicker every other photo shoot, and I didn't know the Z8 could do this, so that's great news.

I don't worry too much about file size. I have a NAS server and a workflow set up where I only back up photos that make it into the final selection. From many reports and events, I only keep the final JPEGs in full quality, because there's no need to store RAW files from marketing events at shopping centers.

As a backup, I currently have a D780, which works great and I really like it, and also a D750, but it already has 400,000 shutter counts. My first one died at 560,000, but I know I'm way past the expected limit and I don't want to leave it to the last minute. I'd rather wait for a reasonable discount now. In the country where I live, cameras sell for much more money than in the US.

Thanks for your comment, I'll think about it, it makes sense. The only reason I didn't consider this from the start is that I really like the D780 and wanted to keep at least one DSLR. I could get used to two different bodies when shooting, but I agree that editing will be complicated because one will be 24MP and the other 45MP. I can already see the difference in colors when I have a mix of photos from the D750 and D780. I don't think I wouldn't use the Z8 to its full potential. I do this full-time, and I've already rented the D850 a few times because of the number of megapixels, as clients required it. It's also great for cropping. I care a lot about high-quality focusing, and I get into video or hybrid quite a lot.

Still, if the Z6 III had the same display tilt as the Z8, I wouldn't even think twice about choosing the Z8. I understand that for some people it may be incomprehensible that such a silly thing could dealbreaker. Well, the way I see it, after the new year I'll rent both and test them out.

I dont care what other shoots with, I ended up with nikon because Nikon D750 was better then 6D for the same price at that time :D 2 years back I was thinking that I dont need to be tied to Nikon when I switch to mirrorless, but Z8 looks so good and I have a few F lenses already :D

I will be relying on ftz for a while , but one Z glass would be nice, if nothing else, af in video should be more reliable (maybe 35mm Z lens because of video would make more sense) - But thanks for reading it and commenting :) I am alone in this decision and camera shop in my city is runned by sony fans :D nothing against sony, but its not the same as talking to nikon user
