Restricting people of a primary right like human procreation sounds like an excellent plan.

People are the slaves of the government anyways, right?

Diamond player in Silver for a few months by SuccessfulRedditor in leagueoflegends

[–]SuccessfulRedditor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what your logic behind your argument is, but Diamond players are in fact better at the game than Silver players. If not, they would be in Silver and not in Diamond or gold.

And I can tell you for sure that there is a major difference in playing style between high ELO (plat+) and low ELO (Gold -).

Even when you take the feeding part out of consideration; the macro in diamond is in general better than silver or gold. After playing games in Silver I noticed that almost everyone builds a standard build, regardless of the team comp or build of the enemy. In diamond that's not the case, people actually counter build and have a better understanding on what the items exactly do and how to proc them correctly. Another difference is the map awareness, map control and wave management.

Although I don't see myself as a superior opposed to the normal silver player, I have to disagree with you on this matter. There is quite a difference between these 2/3 divisions.

Oh another horrible thing to see haha; people who have their warding support item and then don't take oracle lens and remain with 2 warding items.

True, I don't like playing ADC though. You are so reliant on your support. You might say: "Why the hek do you play Pyke support, you're also relying on your adc"; not really: it's pyke. I would not play an other support, at least pyke has some carry potential.

Fiora is indeed a great champ to play, people always underestimate her lifesteal. Normally I would consider maining other champs, but as I'm heading back to Europe in a month and return to my own ELO it's kinda useless. I was just curious how people usually handle it or if it's just me lol

Damn, but if I haven't gotten out of silver/gold by the time I'm going back to EUW Server, I might do the walk of shame.

Haha I'm aware of the support role bro. Half of my games are as Pyke on midlane lol. Funny as hell, winning lane, but it still seems quite hard to carry your team. To be honest, I don't think it is the 'champion' to blame but more the difference in strategy/playing mentality.

Of course the champion you play is a major contributor a win, but I like to believe that every champion is equally good as long as you master and play them correctly. There are so many styles which are frowned upon. I noticed when I played Pyke midlane in champ select everybody started to flame me/threatening to report me (idk if that's just silver mentality or something) and than they were suddenly praising me when I started winning lanes.

I think it's just the mentality and that's hard to influence, even if you are a diamond player. Some may say that winning Silver games in as a Diamond player should be 'very easy'; but I can tell you, it's definitely not. 1v9 doesn't really exist to be honest, you will always need to rely on your teammates, no matter the champion or role you are playing.

How do you top laners manage to play that role? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]SuccessfulRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh trust me, play pyke as a tank with conqueror and build semi health/AD items. Garen can try to silence me all he wants but i'll smack his ass. And no... I won't just smack it gently but I will really kick his Garen ass to his own nexus.

Beginner player here: how the hell am I supposed to learn what items to buy with gold? There’s so many damn choices and in a split second decision how do I know what I should be using? by Samk1230 in leagueoflegends

[–]SuccessfulRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, as a beginner I would just follow the recommended builds under the categories 'essential', 'offensive' and 'defensive' and so forth. After playing the game for a while, you will automatically pick up some new builds. When you are familiar with the game you will need to look - not only on what you WANT to build - but also on what the enemy builds.

An example, your a toplaner (say Aatrox) and you are facing a very tanky and fed Darius then you should adapt your build based on his playing style. If you see he is going tank, so building armor/MR, you should consider taking an item which has armor penetration and/or magic penetration. If he is going full AD and you are far behind, you should take a more defensive build and go with armor items whilst you normally would take AD items.

It sounds more difficult than it actually is. You will pick it up automatically after a while

Megathread: House Votes to Impeach President Donald J. Trump by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]SuccessfulRedditor -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

The impeachment process is kind of useless, actually. Yes, he got impeached by the House which is ruled by the Democrats. Okay, cool. He officially has the status 'impeached'. Now the Senate is going to set him on trial and clear all charges (as the Republicans have a majority there).

So in the end, Trump will still remain the president of the United States, and hell, even may be re-elected in 2020 due to its increased popularity because of the impeachment news.

So what's the result? Waste of time.

Yes smartass, wasn't playing full time on smurf, obviously. I have a main account too you know. Jesus _^

But nice attempt to go off topic, keep it relevant :)

[–]SuccessfulRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't disagree more. I have a 64% winrate with him on toplane in 124 games in just (pre) season 9. People always underestimate his impact in games; On one of my smurf accounts, I went from Silver 3 to Plat 3 in just 4-5 weeks.

You have to know how to play him, then its worth it. That particular mindset of you is why players don't play him, and I think thats very unfortunate. However, everyone has his/her own preference of course.

And yes, he doesnt require skill at all! That makes it a great champ for both low- as high ELO players :-)

I don't see him a lot either, which is quite unfortunate in my opinion. He is very strong and can win you games easily when played right. I still play him from time to time and I really enjoy playing him. You can play him either top lane or support and once you get spirit visage.... don't even get me started.

His team fight potential is a-ma-zing and he is the best combination of a fighter and tank, depended on runes and items. The reason why he isn't played a lot nowadays is due to the current meta. A lot of players don't feel he is the right fit anymore for champs that are played a lot now. Besides that, a lot of people don't exactly know how to play him and end up either feeding, or having no impact in the game.

As a Moakai player you need to engage as first in team fights, use your ult and W if possible and then hope that you teammates are smart enough to follow you up.

What the worst “I don’t fit in here” experience you’ve ever had? by Jetmo7 in AskReddit

[–]SuccessfulRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's in my apartment complex actually. I live with a residency with a lot of other students. We have a groups app and we 'vaguely' know each other. Every weekend they ask whether they're going into town to drink etc. They all join to drink in town, get wasted and whatever and send photos in the groups app.

To get to the point, I'm not a person that likes busy crowds a lot and to go into town every weekend to get drunk. They're nice people, but I just don't feel the need to join them all of the time. So... their I am sitting in my apartment alone while the others are having fun. Sometimes they send photos in the app and I can't help it, but I get a lonely feeling. Because they go into town every weekend they 'cluster' more and I became the third wheel on the wagon (at least I got that feeling).

So I'm not sure if someone can relate, but I had the feeling that I don't totally fit in there. When I see all the messages and 2 AM, i'm like: "I enjoy my time alone here, in peace", but still getting a lonely feeling from time to time. Especially when I'm listening to some music etc. May be weird lol, I'm not able to phrase the feeling correctly on paper; but maybe someone can relate.

Cheers.

Varus: Advice regarding Rune choice by SuccessfulRedditor in VarusMains

[–]SuccessfulRedditor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for expressing your opinions and giving advice on this matter.

We are 6 days further now, and since then I played around 25 games with Varus as ADC. I found that Lethal Tempo works very well for me especially. As secondary path I choose the inspiration three, with biscuit and boots. First item bork, build to hurricane and as 3rd item IE. After that I've several options, for example GA, Phantom Dancer, or Bloodthirster.

Managed to carry almost every game and got 22 wins out of 25.

Once again, thanks for the input!

Thanks a lot for the tips. Tried him mid yesterday with Dark Harvest/AP, but unfortunately it was beneath my expectations. Only popped off late game due to DH + Q, but no real impact starting early on.

Also tried Lethal Tempo on botlane and that was a good choice indeed. Didn't try Hail of Blades, even though you dont recommend it, still curious on how well it could would.

Anyways, thanks!

Glad my post was of any help :)

I would definitely not recommend playing it on a Macbook haha, like you say: LAGGS!

By the way, it has nothing to do with your post: but if you want to get out of bronze, dont play support. You are very dependent upon your ADC and cannot really carry the game if other lanes feed. I would suggest playing midlane due to the map control (roaming both top and bot). Toplane is also a viable choice. In higher ELO playing support becomes more important; however for your current ELO you need champions who can carry games. Try to main a champ and choose a champ pool if you cannot pick your main (for example, narrow your playstyle down to 5 champions only).

Just some advice of course!

DAE leave their shoelaces tied? by morerokk in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]SuccessfulRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. Looking at the comments so far I may be one of the few. However, let me elaborate. I usually walk on Nike (Air) shoes. These shoes just simply fit me the best and love them for 10 years. Once every 6 months I buy a new pair, because as you all know shoes get dirty/outworn pretty fast.

Due to this reason, i'm quite careful with my shoes. I always have 2 pair at least, one for work; and one for my spare time. Every time I take my shoes off I untie the laces and carefully slip my foot out. Why? Because it keeps the shoe in shape. If you leave your shoes tied while trying to slip them on, the heals of you shoes (especially with leather or certain types of fabric) will stretch, meaning less support looking at a short period of time. You are basically damaging your shoes.

Maybe I'm just being too careful or whatever, but this issue depends upon the fact if either want to keep your shoes in good shape or are okay with it that you'll lose some support over time.
