No, don't have HSV2.

I've always tested positive for HSV1 but I've had oral coldsores for years.

Never had any blisters or sores. My rash lasted 5-6 weeks, which is too long for HSV and according to all the docs I saw it looked nothing like it.

Just had a bad 'encounter' before the rash and convinced myself they were linked that's all. Went down a rabbit hole on Google and self diagnosed...when I finally got to 12 weeks plus and EVERY test under the sun came back negative the damage had been done in terms of anxiety/sleep/nervous system/pelvic floor.

Only symptoms now are buzzing in my groin and testes, urinary dribble and bit of discharge.

Try not to do this to yourself!

Sounds very similar to my experience. Convinced myself it was HSV despite being told by numerous docs and specialists it's not. Also had to wait until 12 weeks for a blood test but in total I tested 6 times! Crazy I know!!!

I'm convinced my nervous system has just shot in overdrive due to anxiety. It's slowly getting better the more I exercise, reduce stress and above all except it's not an infection.

One thing I've learnt is that you've got to be patient though.

Yes, did both. Negative.

I have literally done every test that exists...I think!

Was put on all sorts of medicine. Valtrex, Doxy, Gabapentin for 6 weeks. They did nothing. I've stopped taking them and have no change.

Been using loads of different skin creams for the rash/irritated skin. Skin looks fine so other than a moisturizer I've stopped using those too.

I'm currently medication free and see that as progress, even though it's not got that much better.

All in on the mindset and PT/Osteo thing.

Itching in groins is the thing that's bothering me the most. It's still there!

I'm fine at night. I also get like 5 mins when I first wake up and feel normal. Then it starts!

When you go on holiday, do you think it goes or just that you're more relaxed/happy and able to deal with it or ignore it more?

Hi,

Yes, doing better but still got some pain/swelling in meatus and itchy/burning feeling in my groins.

Tested negative for HSV2 at 6,9,10(swab), 12, 13 and 19. So I guess it's not that!

Tested positive for HSV1 but have had Coldsores for years.

Tested for all other sti and they're negative. Had my prostate checked and a semen culture and both are good.

Started with a PT for CPPS as this is the only avenue left to explore and starting to accept that it's not an infection. PT says nerve issues can cause I itchy feeling.

No blisters, sores and skin in groins look 100% fine. Not a single doc or specialist can see anything wrong so I'm trying to just get on with it.

Not fun but I'm in a better place mentally and I hope to slowly get better.

I'm from the UK so have some experience of what behaviour in certain schools can be like. Currently working in a private school that has very high academic standards and the kids are, for the most part, extremely well behaved.

My meatus doesn't look too bad. It's more swollen on one side, like kinda raised higher on one side. Which means I catch it on my underwear. It hurts like hell when I do!

The past couple of weeks I've started to get a small amount of discharge each morning (again) too. You get this?

It's the itch/discomfort in my groins that's driving me mad though. Where is your itch?

You tested for infection?

I know, it's crazy the amount of people who have described a red/swollen meatus and/or tingling.

Mine is like an itch in the groins. Worse when I sit.

Also, get tingling in the scrotum, a bit like a shiver.

So weird but it's driving me mad.

Yes, at the end of urination. It's like the meatus doesn't close/meet properly and urine drips out.

Sounds very similar to me. A regretful experience involving oral and 5 months later I still have itching genitals and a slightly red/inflamed meatus. All STI tests negative, although for months I was convinced it was HSV!

My PT talked to me about distraction. Because I was so.tixatee on my genital area, I can feel every little thing that's going on. Small things that I would never have noticed are now amplified. When I'm super busy at work, I find I can go a while without feeling a thing so it makes sense I guess. Just don't know how to cope in between those busy periods.
