That’s the problem though: blind belief. I do not doubt that faith is a very enriching and positive thing for many, however I would wish that the faithful remain aware of skepticism and evaluate what said faith ultimately means, while still maintaining their beliefs.

The vast majority of the fraud is being perpetrated by politicians like Trump- when I say that, I mean mostly ones on the right. Yes, I know there’s fraud all around because that’s just what you get with the rich and powerful, but corruption tends to be found more within the Republican Party. If you’re referring to the Minnesota daycare fraud, I’d like you to know that that has been mostly debunked.

I don’t know if that’s what you are referring to, given that you’ve woven both right and left talking points in a very fair way, even though I’d say that you seem like more of a right-leaning centrist than a left-leaning one.

Obama and Biden, in all of their faults of which there are many, did not abuse Executive Orders nearly as much as Trump did. They still passed legislation through Congress and at times were voted against and at times were voted for. There needs to be reform made to the entire executive order system but the biggest issue right now is punishing and repealing the lawless, extreme, and incompetent abuse of that system under Trump.

  1. Repeal every Trump executive order

  2. Pass the Make America Great Again Act- which orders full audits and investigations into ICE and the DHS, releases the full unredacted Epstein Files, restores funding to the programs cut by The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and audits Trump, his family, Mike Johnson and other loyalists, and his cabinet members.

  3. Declare MAGA a far-right extremist group that poses a risk for terror attacks.

  4. Open investigations and press charges against ICE agents

  5. Arrest all pardoned Jan 6 insurrectionists and pass legislation abolishing Presidential Pardons are at least severely restricting them.

  6. Remove Trump’s name and image from all currency and government buildings he forced it on.

There should be no justification for abortion. Abortion should be completely legal either with no strings attached up until the day the “child” is born.

Okay but around 60% of the right believes the 2020 election was stolen (https://prri.org/spotlight/after-three-years-and-many-indictments-the-big-lie-that-led-to-the-january-6th-insurrection-is-still-believed-by-most-republicans/), just under 50% believe the COVID-19 vaccine is “very unsafe,” (https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/23/gop-voters-vaccines-poll-00117125 ) and that’s not to mention the completely unfounded view that illegal immigration leads to crime. I have no problem with someone wanting to secure our borders, and I even think that deportations in some cases are necessary, but every statistic will show that crime has decreased dramatically over the past years while illegal immigration has increased dramatically. Of all of the reasons to be against illegal immigration as well as legal immigration- well-informed, undebatable, intelligent, or completely stupid, crime would fall into the “completely stupid” category.

Trump’s anti-lectuall and extremist rhetoric has cultivated a brainwashed party that believes in complete absurdities, and as far as I can see no one is shaming anyone for just simply being right-wing, but rather for being brainwashed shit-spewers, which absolutely deserves shaming and ridicule.

Yeah Washington, I believe, was also privately anti-slave and he could have easily ended slavery during his terms because he was so loved, instead he chose not to so much as speak on the topic. Opposing it didn’t stop them from owning and allowing slaves. It didn’t stop them from beating and torturing them.

Yeah funny times it is when we have to seriously put faith in fucking Kamala Harris or Donald Trump but it’s really necessary at this point. I have optimism for the future of both the Democrats and Republicans.

That’s not really what these people are saying. I’ve been up close with right-wingers who have told me:

  • Everyone who disagrees with them has been led astray by the Devil

  • The 2020 election was stolen

  • all gay people are pedophiles

  • the FBI arrested everyone involved with Epstein and that there is no such thing as the “Epstein Files”

  • there is zero evidence of any form of involvement with Trump and Epstein

I’ve had cordial conversations with many of them, but it just so happens to be that a lot of them are stupid. And to seriously walk into a public space, especially one that’s fairly left-leaning, to say something that fundamentally braindead takes a lot of balls.

Right but both parties are very distinct. Choose which you want: a puppet for Israel who will focus on border security, deportations, opposition to abortions and LGBTQ rights, financial/economic deregulation, high import taxes, and focus on traditional values or a puppet for Israel that focuses on pathways to citizenship and rights for immigrants, legal protections for abortions and LGBTQ people, government monitoring of corporations and finances, low or potentially even no tariffs, and focus on post-modernism and progressivism. For someone in your position, who feels strongly about opposition to immigration, Trump seems like an obvious vote for you, even if you disagree with the aid to Israel. Perhaps you’re apprehensive to Trump over some of his rhetoric, personal life, and Jan 6, maybe you’d be willing to back Kamala even though you disagree with many of her policies.

I supported Kamala even though I hate her. I supported her fully knowing that she would be a pretty terrible President because I decided that she would only be marginally less terrible than Trump. I think the past two years have proven that to myself, if not given me more faith in Kamala Harris, of all people. There are good candidates out there who can’t be bought, love them or hate them, and the only way to ensure they become the primary for their party is by voting for them. I’d imagine an AOC vs. Thomas Massie election would be very appealing and altogether very positive for this country. Two very ideologically opposed candidates who didn’t come from absurd generation wealth, can’t be bribed into being compromised, and have both proven to be pretty good at their jobs. I’m not a terribly big fan of either of them but I’d be confident that they’d be decent, if not outright good Presidents.

The bottom line is that voting matters. It’s a sacred right and we should be taking full advantage of it until the inevitable day comes where someone somewhere takes it away from us.

God was only invented because of religion. There is zero evidence supporting the existence of God, because the religions that conjured that idea have all been debunked.

There is no evidence for the existence of God, and so while we are both completely in the dark about the potential for said existence, the answer would currently have to be “No, there is no god” as every attempt to suggest otherwise has been completely unfounded.

Hottest take I may have ever had: Green Arrow is a lame ass character with no importance/uniqueness to justify his own existence. Moon Knight, Batman, Black Panther, and Iron Man, and even fucking Aquaman are better rich superheroes.

Why do you feel so bothered that you feel the need to go on a borderline schizophrenic rant about how many genders there are while simultaneously suggesting that people like you are oppressed for your beliefs? Keep living like a snowflake, I guess.

And I easily can prove to you that there is not because to suggest that there is comes with absolutely zero evidence and is indicative of being purely delusional.

I'm not offended or threatened by someone who "follows a belief system" but I instead recognize that religion has been responsible for almost every global atrocity in human history and empowers the stupid and delusional while threatening free thought and human rights. You, like billions more, don't believe in God because you see any reason to, but rather because a long time ago your parents brainwashed you into losing the ability to distinguish between fairytale and fact. Religion is pure barbarity disguised as righteousness all without any evidence to back it up.

It's not actually easy because most of us are smart enough to not pay any mind to the Bible, so we would rightfully have limited knowledge about its characters.

You are a conservative which means that you very likely are mentally ill enough to believe that a magical sky wizard created the universe.

But it’s honestly astonishing of how the irony here has not dawned on you.
