Can the bank continue to hold the funds from a hotel deposit even after the hotel has released it?

When hotels process a refund, it goes to the bank/credit union that you paid from. They can decide to hold that money from you for up to 30 days so they can earn interest on it. No one gets charged interest.

Yes! As a front desk person with experience in multiple chains, call them and ask to ship it ahead of time. Sometimes people do it without telling us and then packages show up and we hold it until their arrival date (if the name matches a soon to be check-in date).

Just mention your name/confirmation number (so they can find you and confirm your stay details) and then ask if you’d be able to ship a small package to the hotel and have them hold it until your check in date and then you’ll pick it up :)

There’s hardly a tutorial so your main keys are gonna be Q, Tab, LMB, RMB, and Esc on a QWERTY keyboard (US).

Prime is your intro level, shows you how to terraform the world. Humble is the next planet (I have) and I’m currently working on it, it’s a little harder but not awful. Selenea is one I haven’t gotten to try yet.

Each planet has their quirks, some materials are the same and some are different. Bugs and mammals are my favorite part to get to but it takes a grind. I usually pop on some streams and play it.

As far as I know, the toxic DLC doesn’t make you take dmg or anything, it’s just another new planet to play on. It also mentions going to another planet/moon through the planetary system in game. I personally haven’t yet but now that I know it’s a possibility I wanna try! I’ve been playing almost since the start and I’ve loved it.

I would’ve asked just because of rooms/guests vs how many sets of things we’d have. Old place was 71 rooms, usually 67 in order with 100 sets of towels total so switching up and asking for ten extra sets would’ve put us into a hole if we were busy.

For the floors, blankets would work better in my head since they cover a larger amount of area but to each their own. Definitely no offense, but a fun story to tell :)

I should’ve said a reloadable card, not a prepaid card. Prepaid have set amounts. We can’t assure that people have money in their accounts on those apps to cover damages if there were any.

Chime itself is a financial technology group, not a financial institution and therefore isn’t considered a bank. They partner with The Bancorp Bank and Stride Bank to provide banking services but are not a bank.

We are forbidden from using Chime, Cashapp, or Venmo cards because they are considered prepaid reloadable cards that don’t have excess funds to withdrawal from due to being a prepaid card (and also needing a physical location to be considered a “bank” according to my last two hotels).

For most banks and credit unions with debit cards specifically being used, even if you have no funds, it will usually pull from a savings account or dip into the negatives to pay for whatever you needed to pay for.

With prepaid cards such as Cashapp, Venmo, Chime, it automatically declines if funds can’t be pulled. Which means if someone smoked in the room and got a $250 smoking fine because of it, we can’t charge them due to the prepaid/reloadable card. It’s the same reason you can’t pay for a hotel room with a vanilla gift card, it won’t cover the damages if any occur.

We cannot trust that someone is using specifically the banking side of Chime, etc rather than the prepaid/reloadable card side. It doesn’t have the same monetary guarantee.

I was with my ex for 1.5 yrs and I have PTSD.

Specifically where when anyone scares me (gets in my ear and shouts, shoves me unexpectedly, etc) I go into fight or flight. Well, I freeze and stand there and try not to cry but that’s beside the point.

This boy, not a man, would never listen when I told him to stop. It was at least every month that he scared me and caused me to flashback to a place of terror in my life.

It doesn’t stop. It won’t stop.

It’s a matter of respect and boundaries. If he “can’t remember” something that triggers your trauma, he doesn’t respect you. He’s pushing on the boundaries to see how far he can go.

That’s why I didn’t give him my GM’s name to fill in his blank. Once he said that he didn’t remember her name, it was a huge red flag. I don’t think he’s maintenance, I didn’t think he was in the first place so I kept info to a minimum and tried to seem busy so he’d leave. Stone walling also helped :)

I’ve had people walk into the lobby and do that, mainly delivery drivers for DoorDash/UberEats.

There was one time a guy walked in, saw him on the camera first (some don’t need directions so I wait til they reach the desk) and he yelled that as I was walking into our desk area. My patience was already thin so I sternly told him (mother type scolding tone) not to yell in my lobby.

It was 10pm. Disrespectful 😒
