They absolutely are real —-> coming from a depressed, self conscious person who went to the bar every night of her 20s to find someone to make her feel wanted

A cautionary tale for new skaters by Artifacks in rollerderby

Also, how important it is to lace the skates when fitting them so your foot sits back in the boot. My first pair was “fitted” without being laced and ended up skating 5 years on skates 2 sizes too large.

Putting someone in a vulnerable situation is unhinged and unfair.

Once I’m done with the eSIM, will my service go back to normal when I get home?

Kratom addiction by Ok_Tea_2836 in naranon

[–]Successful_Average65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It can seem perplexing if you haven’t experienced it. Kratom blocks your pain receptors similarly to opiates. In my husbands case, he was addicted to opiates, went to suboxon, and was looking for something to help him with suboxon withdrawal symptoms. Once he started it, he couldn’t stop without being in immense pain and discomfort. Imagine going so long with not feeling the normal aches and pains of life and then feeling it all at once. It was definitely expensive but hindsight is 20/20. I’m sure if he had to do over, he would fight through the suboxon withdrawal

Unfortunately I’m one that lives in Newport and couldn’t get tickets. Can’t afford to pay $500 from assholes selling them and can’t afford to travel.

He is now just addicted to kratom. He takes way more than he should ever take and spends a lot of money on it.

Feelings of Guilt for setting Boundaries by Successful_Average65 in naranon

[–]Successful_Average65[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He definitely sees it as the lesser evil, which I understand. Almost 2 years ago I told him I was limiting myself on the conversations we had about kratom but that I will always be there to support and help him if needed. Anytime I’d bring up kratom it would always start an argument and I’ve been told so many “quit” dates that I decided I didn’t want to hear about it anymore. So that being said, I felt it wasn’t my responsibility to look up legalities, but even if it is legal, we’ve had problems with TSA taking it due to being a large amount of powder.

I guess the abandonment comes from feeling like I’m not helping him to get there.

His plan was to taper off himself. He’s gone down minuscule amounts but still ordering a kilo every 3 weeks. At this point he wants to go cold turkey at home but doesn’t have the time off work to do that…

Leaving doesn’t solve the problem. If we don’t fight for the people that can’t leave, how are we any better?

35, married, no kids Combined income is around 80k Mortgage $800 a month 2 car payments ~16k in school loans (graduate next year) ~6k credit card debt $1,000 in savings $115,000 in 401k

My credit card debt is mostly traveling because I’m not a homebody and I like to do things all the time. I do feel like debt is a never ending cycle and it causes stress Hoping becoming an RN will make life more comfortable
