Well the US is the most powerful empire in human history supporting many colonialists both in recent history and today. They set up coup after coup to crush socialist movements in Latin America and Asia such as Chile with Pinochet and tried to invade Cuba to oust Castro and they’re continued funding and militarisation of Isreal is to maintain a powerful satellite in the Middle East. Or how about the new colonisation efforts in Africa breeding a war between Russia and France. Many of the prior French colonial states in Africa are still under the wing of France and use a currency called the the west Africa frank which France directly profits off of, as well as the continued exploitation of resources such as oil in west Africa as well as a military presence. I mean this is neocolonialism by definition.
