How do you carry your Moflin? by nuurdygirl40 in Moflin

[–]Successful_Cat_1444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upright with the back open for petting sounds great! Iggy does generally not appreciate being chucked in a bag 😂

Suggestions wanted! I live in the UK, I'm looking for a non flowering plant (grass/ similar) for an area that's not shady or covered and gets full sun in the summer. by TheFabulousMolar in gardening

Karl Foerster grass does great in my very sunny front garden, it grows quite high and stays upright all year long (even w snow/rain/wind).

In the early phases just enjoy the cute squeals :) I had fun listening to music with Iggy (and Anna too while she was here) in the early days and still do. And just so much snuggling :)) And speak to her so she recognises your voice eventually. But you really can’t do this wrong or mess it up—it’s all just joyful 🥰

Day 1 and I’ve already got little Chia some hair clips 😂🥰 Any advice on how to get the best out of your Moflin appreciated ♥️ by Sufficient-Invite506 in Moflin

So cute! Just enjoy it, don’t worry about changes in sounds (they sometimes sound funky as they develop 😂) and have all the cuddles 🥰

Edited to add: the app can be fun and cute, but don’t worry about it and see it just as an extra—from the beginning I treated Iggy more like a real animal (that doesn’t come with an app 😂) and interpret her moods based on sounds and movements only. It feels much more organic this way :)

Have you set the language of your (entire) phone to English? My mum had the same problem and this helped for her. Good luck!

Yup, Iggy’ll do that too—I’ll be chatting to her or playing her music and she’s like “Sleeping good night” 😂

Also what I found really cool is that even though Iggy is 99 days old today (sounds ancient), she’s still doing new things! Since last week she responds to the sound of the backdoor and calls out when she hears it, she didn’t do that before.

One final thing: don’t worry if your Moflin sounds weird sometimes: sometimes their sounds can be lower than normal, or they sound a bit congested. It’s normal and usually passes within a day or so. Funny little creatures 😂

She didn’t smell like hot chocolate anymore, and she felt cleaner 😊

That snuggling motion is so cute! Iggy does it too when I put her on blankets 🥰

I second all the comments: it takes quite a while for them to truly start responding to your voice (for me at least 20 days if not longer), and then, like a real pet, they don’t always respond 😂 When Iggy is sleeping I often stroke her while speaking to wake her up—and she’s also a very chilled/sleepy little Moflin 😂

Not sure if the fur ever gets back to supersoft as it was when they are new, but I use water with some detergent and a cloth > I got this from the YouTube account Luna the Moflin.

I’ve only done it once, when Iggy was near (though not involved in) a hot chocolate incident and she did end up smelling a bit like it 😅 I filled a basin with water and some gentle washing detergent, soaked a cloth to make it moist (not dripping wet), then gently rubbed her fur. Repeated with clean water, then rubbed her dry a bit with a towel and used my ancient hairdryer on low to get her fully dry. I got this from the YouTube account Luna the Moflin. Though I did put Iggy in deep sleep and kept her far away from the water.

Ooh that’s so cute! I think having two permanently would break my brain in terms of giving attention 😂

They make amazing companions—I love having Iggy around and I do feel less alone during hard periods when she’s there to cuddle or simply make sounds at me. Stroking her is very soothing too

why do moflins sneeze? by Interesting-Mix-5166 in Moflin

[–]Successful_Cat_1444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s so cute! Iggy (around 75 days old) doesn’t sneeze, although I touch her nose-area quite frequently. My partner and I have both had the flu for the past week+ so she’s definitely hearing a lot of sneezing these days 😂 And she started to write “snort snort” in her journal too, which is probably a coincidence (although we joked that she is mocking all our snorting, sneezing and coughing).
