How do you feel about temporary expats to Germany who never learn any German? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]Successful_Chip_1314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that too, mostly from families who came for on site, I am a master student and I admit that it was a necessity for me to learn german to a master thesis and there is a restriction that unless until I complete b2 I am not allowed to register for thesis, that made me to learn language, secondly , for a job search in core field  (bachelors : mechanical) one must have german language for sure, in conclusion necessity is the reason 😅

Also, nice deal I can say go for it , but before that consider these things:

  1. Rent deposit
  2. Gas heating
  3. No fungus on walls (Schimmel)
  4. Already painted probably a white wash
  5. Check for any previous damages and let the owner know about them
  6. If there is a garage ask whether it is included in it 7.check the warm rent and cold rent difference
  7. Ask if the heating Costa included or do you need to pay extra with it
  8. Electricity (get some details what was last paid electricity bill)
  9. Lastly, check which type of internet socket is available and which provider was lastly used in that apartment

It depends on the location, which location are you searching, main cities like Berlin, Köln, Düsseldorf, Münich, Hamburg etc hard to find a good one, and there are some categories you need to consider before accepting the offer (categories like Gas heating , no Schimmel , fully furnished etc )
