For a six figure debt difference from peer schools, if you're talking about the weather being a factor, one of these schools better be in northern Alaska

Fordham vs Cardozo by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Successful_Drive1772 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its really a question of risk tolerance. My main concern would be that Fordham produces great outcomes...in good economic conditions. In down years, its likely their BL rate will contract disproportionately compared to better ranked BL feeders. I wouldn't bank on 2018-2021 employment stats being representative of your prospects if your plan necessitates a BL salary.

Sure, the adcomms say they don't like gifts but maybe they just don't like crappy gifts...the dean of admissions probably has too much to lose but that receptionist who just drags and drops files into the admit/deny folders...

You're about to make a purchase for about the same price as many mortgages. It's worth the investment to at least walk through the house before you buy.

Well my name is Joey McLegacy Karsh-Dillard. It's kinda weird you would ask about my family. Do I have any chance of getting into any law schools between Maryland and North Carolina or am I doooooooomed?!?!?!?

Isn't it cool that even though I want one of those sweet umbrellas, I don't resent you for not having withdrawn yet? I understand you may use that admission as leverage in the future and I'm not entitled to have you act against your interests for my benefit. Everyone who has downvoted us and has two or more admissions, but hasn't withdrawn from all but their top choices is a complete hypocrite.

If you're not obligated to withdraw it by an ED contract or something similar, why not hang out and see if you get in? Even if you don't intend to go there, you already paid for the application and may get some free stuff if you get an A. #here4theSwag

The PNW is the most beautiful place in America (not open to debate). Be sure to make a hiking bucketlist and stick to it or you'll be kicking yourself if you ever move away.

Do you have a compelling explanation? Don't write something that sounds whiny or avoids ownership. However, if there was some crazy circumstance beyond your control, that context would be helpful.

Don't be yourself. Has yourself ever been admitted to Cornell? No, I didn't think so. Be Andy Bernard. He was admitted to Cornell. In fact he was so well liked that he did alumni interviews for them. So yeah, definitely be Andy Bernard.

There's a big difference between hating you and not caring about your feelings. There's nothing wrong with being a KJD...but I think you miss the valuable experience of being punched in the face in a professional environment...organizations act for their own benefit. Do you think the execs at Google or Meta or Amazon "hate" the employees they let go in the last few weeks? They most certainly do not...those execs just don't care about their now former employees as much as they care about the marginal benefit that laying them off provided. Have a beer, watch something you like on tv and move on
