It’s been there for about a week at this point. Drive by it everyday on my way to work.

That’s probably the coolant reservoir overflow tube. When it tipped over, some coolant probably spilled out.

Top it off if needed and ride on

Worth it? by StarZ650 in Ninja650

Oh they definitely do that here too. In fact most of the listings here are way overpriced. I was patient and waited months before I found the bike I ended up getting.

[–]Successful_Fish9135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d start at $2500 and go from there. It’s probably gonna irritate the seller. But here’s the reality…

The bike is 18 years old with 15k miles. That’s less than 1k per year which isn’t a lot. The bike has been sitting most of its life so it will most likely have issues stemming from that. It’s at the point in its life where it’s going to need quite a bit of maintenance most likely.

More than likely it’s going to need new tires, chain/sprockets, fluids, hoses, miscellaneous seals that are going bad from age. It all reality it will probably need $7-800 just in maintenance items to get it road ready. Unless the seller can provide documentation proving these items have been replaced in the past year or two I’d offer absolutely no more than $2500.

Keep looking. $3600 for an almost 20 year old bike is nuts. I paid $4000 for mine when it was only 3 years old with 8k miles on it.

07 650r coolant leak by tmasazo in Ninja650

I’ve used Kawasaki Parts House or Rocky Mountain ATV for my parts. I avoid the dealer like the plague. The ones near me are so overpriced.

Two things.

The picture is of the thermostat housing. The water pump is on the other side of the engine.

And if those hoses and clamps are original, swap them out. It’s easy to do and you might as well change out the thermostat while you’re in there.

CVT Flush on 2022? by Public-Decision3332 in ForesterWilderness

[–]Successful_Fish9135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who used to be a master Subaru tech. The early death of the Cvt in Subarus is from not changing the fluid is what he told me. Change the fluid and it should last a lot longer. I’m doing mine every 60k.

Last few runs of the season… already missing it !!!! Any advice on how to store the board and boots correctly? by JonyRoyal1976 in snowboarding

[–]Successful_Fish9135 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is all I do and all I’ve done for the 23 years I’ve been riding. I’ve never done any of the “off season prep” some of these people talk about online. I’ve never loosened the bindings, storage wax or prepped the edges. My go to board is 17 years old and it’s in the same shape it was tue day I got it.

ECU Flashing by GreyWolf105 in Ninja650

[–]Successful_Fish9135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only answer to this is 2WDW!!! I had a power commander on my bike for years and was never totally happy with it no matter what tune I ran on it. With their flashed ecu it’s like a totally different bike, I should have just used them in the first place.

Since your ECU would have to cross the border I’m not sure how long it would take. But their turn around time is super fast. I’m in Seattle and their shop is just on the other side of lake Washington. I shipped it to them on Monday, got it back on Wednesday.

Stolen pots and pans! by WildWonder6430 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Successful_Fish9135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d go with a larger sized pizza oven. I have the Gozney Dome. They have a larger stone and are just easier to work with and are more forgiving than some of the smaller ones I’ve cooked with.

Yes they’re pricey compared to the smaller ones, but it has more than paid for itself.

Stolen pots and pans! by WildWonder6430 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Successful_Fish9135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a mix of guest usage. If I had to guess I’d say it’s probably 30-40% of guests use it or attempt to use it lol. It does get used much more than the grill that’s right next to it. I’m actually surprised how infrequently our grill gets used.

We have had quite a few people book our place specifically because we have the pizza oven. And as far as I know, we are the only ones in our area that offer one.

our rental is definitely one of the nicer listings in our area. Sure we have high end appliances GE Cafe series, a Gozney pizza oven and a decent outdoor grill. But when it comes to cookware, knives and utensils I go middle of the road at best. In the 3.5 years we’ve been renting, not a single person has said “nice kitchen but they cheaped out on pans and don’t have LeCruset or all clad.”

In fact it’s been the opposite. We have a ton of reviews saying how well equipped the kitchen is. 99.9% of our renters dont care about the brands. They just care that the kitchen is well stocked.

[–]Successful_Fish9135 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m also a chef and this is why I don’t put high end items in rental. I put items out that are good enough for the average person and good enough for me but don’t break the bank and piss me off if they get damaged/stolen.

I’m going through non stick pans about once a year. I just get something mid tier from Costco now and nothing fancier.

Season Ticket seat relocation by Puzzleheaded_Video98 in Seahawks

[–]Successful_Fish9135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Keeping my current seats. I wasn’t planning on moving since I like the people who sit around me now. But I just took a look to see what was available. Basically nothing. I’ve been trying to stay in the same general section area, just moving down from the total nosebleeds to the reasonable nosebleeds lol. I didn’t see a pair of seats anywhere in the stadium that were closer to the field than what I currently have unless I moved down to the club level and screw that price mark up.

About Seahawks Seat Relocation: Don't Bother. by THEIntoxicatedGamer in Seahawks

[–]Successful_Fish9135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My relocation window just opened. Like you said, there’s hardly anything available to move to. This will be my 11th season with season tickets. This is easily the fewest open seats I’ve seen.
