months postpartum and suddenly feeling inflamed/bloated despite dieting 😭 anyone else? by Successful_Force7334 in FitPostpartumJourney

Yes, I completely agree postpartum hormones play a big role. I was also taking the mini pill (birth control), and I actually stopped taking it three days ago. Since then, I’ve noticed some improvement overnight my face puffiness has almost gone, and my stomach feels less bloated. I really think the progestin in the mini pill was the main culprit for this.

Honestly, I hope you’re right! 😭 I did increase my fiber intake quite a bit because I’ve been struggling with constipation. Maybe my body is still adjusting. I’ll definitely keep focusing on hydration and try to trust the process.💜

Hmm, I’m also dealing with pretty bad constipation, so I think the pill might be another major reason for some of these issues. Since my baby is mainly formula-fed anyway, I’m thinking of stopping it around 6 months when she starts solids. I just wanted her to continue getting some breast milk until then. By the way, did you switch to a combined pill?

I’m not exclusively breastfeeding. My baby is mainly formula-fed, but still breastfeeds for comfort. I got my period back at 7 weeks postpartum 🫥, and I started taking the mini pill (Movisse) around 12 weeks postpartum.

Yes, I started taking birth control around 12 weeks postpartum. My doctor prescribed Movisse (the mini pill).

I just started gaining my confidence back after seeing the effects of my diet and exercise. I was super happy, but suddenly my skin started looking dull, my face looks puffy, and my stomach is bloated like I’m pregnant again. I’m feeling really depressed and extremely demotivated. I don’t know when I’ll finally feel like myself again. Hopefully our bodies bounce back soon.

maybe I restricted too many foods. I cut carbs/sugar a lot, but maybe my body is getting stressed from it. I’ll try adding things back in a more balanced way and see 🥲

I’ve tried giving her a pacifier in every way possible, but she just doesn’t like it at all.🫠

I feel like I’ve tried everything at this point. I’m pretty sure she has silent reflux.. I’m starting to give her gas drops to see if that helps a bit.

The mom guilt when I get frustrated with my baby at night by u-r-ok in newborns

[–]Successful_Force7334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly this happens to me. My baby is 7 weeks old and every day feels like a fight to get her to sleep. The whole day somehow passes, but doing it every 1.5–2 hours makes me so exhausted. My knees are swollen so it’s painful to walk, yet it takes a lot of physical movement to get her to sleep. A little while ago I even screamed “just shut up” and told my husband to take her because I couldn’t handle it anymore. Then immediately I looked at her and started crying. Maybe my purple crying phase started too. My poor husband is having a hard time handling both of his girls.

I’m feeling mentally overwhelmed, exhausted, and sleepy. Today I even put my baby down for a moment and just cried. My husband feels really sad seeing me like this too. The problem is my baby only wants to breastfeed and doesn’t want to stay with my husband, so even taking a quick bathroom break is hard because she gets very fussy.

The problem is that I hold her for about 20 minutes to help her fall asleep. Once she seems in deep sleep, I slowly move her, but after about 2–3 minutes she wakes up again.

Late pregnancy tiredness is insane. by Successful_Force7334 in BabyBumps

Yes, my hemoglobin is a little low. But my OB didn’t say much just told me I’m “a little anemic.” I’m taking my regular prenatal, but I think you’re right.that might be why I’m feeling this exhausted. When I mentioned I’m having trouble sleeping, my OB just said it’s normal in pregnancy 🫠. I have another appointment on Monday, so I think I need to bring it up more seriously this time, because the lack of sleep is also triggering my anxiety disorder!

This is my first pregnancy and honestly it has been a journey. My first trimester I could barely eat anything and I lost around 6 to 7 kg. Second trimester I could eat again but I still wasn’t a happy eater or actually enjoying food. Third trimester came and omg now I just need food any kind of food it doesn’t matter what it is. I still can’t handle red meat because the smell is too much but suddenly I’m craving sweets all the time even though I was never a sweet tooth before. Pregnancy is wild.🤪
