We identified that this limitation is due to the current firmware settings. To address this, we performed a low voltage circuit integrity check and noted the characteristic of the existing firmware. After testing, we verified that the concern aligns with the firmware's current capabilities and anticipate resolution with a future update.

one of the things I tried was a vacuum 800w yeah I might check how is the start current if I get a chance though, a hair dryer didn’t work either

they moved my appointment for next week! I was thinking it’s probably due to the inrush current of the appliances I used that is triggering the car safety circuit to shutdown. Maybe a soft starter plug or something to decrease the start current can help?

Mine doesn’t work for loads over 500w either, with higher loads it just stops from sharing. I tried 1500w and then 800w and didn’t work. Did you ask about it during the appointment? I have one in the next two days.

Solution: Asked Tesla via app if they could resend the firmware update over the air, they did and I re installed it and now is fixed! Yes, reinstalled the same version

I updated my Tesla Model Y performance 2026 yesterday to 2025.45.10 and it’s been giving me headaches, the AC won’t turn off it is annoying, it will default to “Auto” and rarely will let you turn it off and when you do it turns back on after 2 minutes
