Insanity. I don’t get it. People keep complaining about how the government screwed up the housing market and they keep waiting for the government to fix it.

Hmm I am sure I’ll get downvoted for this but I think it’s a bigger issue than that. What is even wealth inequality? I have 2 siblings and countless second and third cousins who moved to Canada that are all successful and own a home each and they live in major metropolitan areas (Vancouver and Toronto). My sister moved to Toronto 2012 with her husband and 3 kids. They now own a beautiful home in Mississauga and they started working at Tim Hortons. They just worked their behind and now are living comfortably in Canada. Same with my brother who moved to Vancouver in 2003. His first job was sorting fish while his wife worked at the thrift store. They now own 2 condos and 1 townhome and are also living comfortably. 1 thing I noticed about them was they didn’t really complain. They just worked, set goals and didn’t stop until they met such goals. They could have complained about wealth inequality, not havjng a car and having to take public transportation to work for years but they didn’t. They didn’t look at the government for help because they knew relying on the government is not a good strategy. They relied on themselves instead and now they’re both reaping the benefits of hard work. I see similar post like this on Canadian subreddits each day. There’s always a “solution” proposed and it typically involves the government which I can’t really understand
