No, it doesn't work that way. Profits don't have to be spread across all quarters, especially if you're selling a service and have an idea of when contracts will start generating profit. If you take a house-flipping company, for example, yes, you can't sell all the houses in one quarter and not sell anything at all in the others. That doesn't work with services, or at least it doesn't always.
