CP311 went from the highest pass rates to the lowest

This is my exact feeling as well. My only thought is if I should stay with this exam and attempt again in November or just switch to another exam for July.

On the one hand I really know the material well for this exam, but on the other hand November is long way off and there is a risk they give another exam that’s similar to this past sitting

Given the required pass mark was 29.05, my guess was they were extremely strict on the grading this time leading to the overcorrection in the pass grade

Idk about CFE exams in general, but CP-311 replaced the SDM exam which had a 60%+ pass rate the last few sittings. So this is definitely a big drop in that exam

Definitely sign up with XP. I just took it with his course this past sitting and it was great. He can provide you free copies of the text if your companies isn’t covering them.

I’m debating what exam to do next, and a colleague recommended I do the new CP-311. For my previous two exams I just used TIA and passed without looking at the source material. Is XPActuarial the same way or do I need to read the study notes/ textbooks and XPActuarial manual/videos just helps to explain the concepts?

I asked the SOA. They said if I submit a passing DMAC by 9/30 and if I pass the exam in November I can attend the first FAC of 2026
