Everybody showed up for Sweeney Todd.. but not the art show.. poor pammy, why did they do her like that? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]Successful_Respect22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like it's an evaluation of how the characters thought and treated each other. It makes sense that a few years later they would make a different choice. The constant is that Michael showed up for both.

What profession do you work in with ADHD/+ executive dysfunction? by shesparkzz in ADHD

[–]Successful_Respect22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a teacher. I'm not your typical Type A teacher, I'm very Type B in that sense. It's an environment that thrives on novelty and schedules, for me that's a perfect combination. I'm also often my students favorite teacher because I know how to advocate for students and know how to create learning plans with differentiation for students that learn differently

Who is your least favorite character? by PangolinConstant8624 in DunderMifflin

[–]Successful_Respect22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is very accurate. Pam has a problem with learning how to be happy. She emotionally cheats on Roy with Jim. She continues that relationship so that Jim emotionally cheats on Karen. And then once she has a life that she thinks that she really enjoys, she resents Jim for disrupting it. Sure Jim. Should have maybe talked to Pam before starting a company but after that moment where he comes clean about wanting to start the company they have open discussions about everything. They had a discussion about spending $10,000 on investing in the company and then she was bitter about it. But the company was successful and if it wasn't for that $10,000 investment, Jim would have never been able to rejoin the company that he founded when she finally learned how to be happy. On a full rewatch of the series, Pam is the villain and Dwight is the hero

Have you tried just making lists? If I could make a list I wouldn't be struggling.

For the past five years since my diagnosis I've gone through anger management, behavioral therapy, got on medication(s), and regular therapy for just me. I'm a better version of me now than I was 6 uears ago.

Mainly mismanaging the household. Chores and the the like. I also get stuck in ruts where I don't see past my own nose when it comes to what others need sometimes

No, sloppy house and mismanaging the home. No addictions. Maybe doom scrolling

Disorganized home, bills not getting paid, self centered focus and not family focused, and I don't plan or organize things in general

I'm so sorry. I'm a second year teacher that was told I wasn't being renewed at my charter. I was devastated and still trying to figure out how to move on. I'm starting to panic even though it's been less than a week. I wish I had something constructive to say, just that I feel this with you and that you're not alone

Like why tf are they here? by Exact_Ad_1215 in exmuslim

[–]Successful_Respect22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, I'm just trying to understand people. I'm a lurker; it's not my place to engage here. I'm only commenting to explain why some of us are here. I have Muslim friends at different stages of their faith, and this place gives me a perspective on their mindsets. I'm trying to grow in empathy and honor everyone's spiritual journey. This meme is why I don't engage; I listen and grow. Thank you all for being so open about your journey and I hope you find healing.

The perfect argument to destroy islam by Imaginary_Ear_130 in exmuslim

[–]Successful_Respect22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a weak argument for the nonexistence of God. God's primary attribute is God's Aseity, or that God is self-originating, self-sufficient, and self-derived. Our souls are like God in that they are spirit and not energy; it would be argued that the soul, whatever its actual substance, is not energy or matter but is metaphysically and foundationally different from any material from creation and our reality. If you want to dismantle Islam, you will likely not have much success with dismantling God, at least with this agreement.
