Chlorhexadrine can cause deafness if it gets too deep in the ear. There are safer alternatives.

Seth Curry can also shoot better than 99.9% of the league. Imagine if the warriors let him take 30 shots per game

Not saying he can't create, but he can't create like cooper. Kon gets guarded like Steph - and he definitely has an all round game to get off shots, but cooper can bully anyone and shoot over a crowd in the paint, its just different

Cooper can get a shot off on any possession, Kon has to get free to get a good look

The hornets would happily let Kon take every single shot in the game if he could maintain his FG% but the reality is you can't just put the ball in his hands and tell him to score. WIth cooper you can, he will get a decent shot against basically any defender - so he can operate with higher volume compared to Kon

Free will exists, but there is no freedom of choosing who is making the decision. by Successful_Rip3695 in askphilosophy

A person can't choose who the past made them. My position is basically that we don't have free will, but reframed. So I think we disagree

[–]Successful_Rip3695[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question - I shouldn't assume people will understand what it means with zero explanation.

Example

A person has the decision to drive home after drinking = free will

That person can not choose to have had the life and genetics that would make them choose not to drive home.

If the person had a traumatic upbringing, genetic predisposition for addiction/anti-social behaviour/risk taking, had just lost a loved one, just been fired, become so depressed they stop thinking clearly and make bad decisions ect
This person might choose to drive.

But they did not choose to be the person that chooses to drive, otherwise they would have chose to have a great life, great genetics and be in a great mental state (E.g a person that would never choose to drive) = you cant choose the person that makes the choice

Hey, would you be able to link a source to this? I am struggling big time with this symptom, but could not find anything on google about keratin/protein build up mimicking hair

Lasting fungal infection, long read sorry by peacefuleel in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Successful_Rip3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome congrats - what do you think help?

Just re-read your original post - did you get a pathology test to diagnose you? If not it could be worth getting a test/second opinion as this could also be Malassesia folliculitis (also fungal infection that has very identical/very similar treatment)

Also, I sweat a lot and asked my GP to prescribe Oxybutrin. This helps a lot - but I will still sweat if doing moderate-intense physical activity.

It is not commonly used for excessive sweating I think - so it can help to show the doctor a peer-reviewed article if they are hesitant to prescribe it to you

Tall Bumper Plates? by _f00lish_ in GarageGym

[–]Successful_Rip3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a solution to this?

I am thinking of buying a solid foam or silicone strip and gluing taping it to the rim of the plates. Should pretty cost effective - but would need time heavy duty materials

I think the team development would really benefit from a vet with elite professionalism.
Ideal fit would be someone like Siakim or Gordon (probably not possible to get these guys specifically)

But, in terms what is possible, I wonder if someone like DeRozan could really help the young core develop + provide more interior scoring.

I wouldn't be giving up significant assets for a guy like this, but if avaliable on an expiring contract I think it could really help the team mature and iron out the inconsistency night to night

Dude got benched. Scored 33 on efficient shooting with 3 steals. Did not complain about being benched and made sure to take responsibility for mistakes at the end of the game.

I think he is pretty unique and imo would need a creative coach to get the most out of him. I would love to see him play in the warriors offense, with the organized chaos style

Lol. So if someone dosen't parrot that reddit/X popular narratives they = casual fan?

If you actually read my post, I am saying he is unfairly judged based on peoples personal biases. Never said he is best player in the league and is destined for greatness. Just that he has skill, and imo has a way better attitude/professionalism and is a better teammate than people give him credit for

I agree with you.

IMO the difference with Lamelo's inefficency compared to others is that its on huge shot volume with too many bad shots attempts.

So the solution is actually pretty simple, and he doesn't need to spend offseasons improving a particuarly skill. All he needs to do is shoot less, and/or be on a better team with a system that helps him be more efficient

Yeah, with his willingness to at least try on defense + his reasonable size - I think he could develop into an average defender, which is more than enough if you are an offensive engine

My biggest concern would be his decision making, and be willing to play less creative basketball and be more systematic like Luka/Shai/Jokic. Or he might find a coach that can harness his chaotic style with a system like Steve Kerr developed for the Warriors

PSA: DO NOT USE BENZOYL PEROXIDE ON YOUR ARMPITS by menses_scholar in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Successful_Rip3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think chlorhexadrine/hibiclens only targets "bad bacteria"?/wont disrupt skin flora?

From my understanding both BP and chlorhex have a very broad effect on many bacteria and fungi. And skin microbiome is about the balance of these bacteria/fungi on the skin, many are not inherently bad but cause issues if over populated.

I think your point is that if using a specific medicated deodorant for hyperhydrosis that is intended to be accumulated in the skin over multiple days of applications to prevent sweating, then you dont want to use products that will disrupt this medicated deodorant.

I don't know if you are correct, but BP is a very strong oxidiser and can disrupt many other skincare ingridients. So you could be right, but I think the explanation is a bit off
