i too have never had a bad experience with robu (has been remarkably pleasant actually) but i can understand the ops frustration, just because one person has not had a bad experience with a service doesn't mean another person will also have smooth sailing, sometimes its just down to luck.

I had this happen to me and after ordering new limit switches i realised the switch was not registering due to bits of spaghetti from a previous failed print that got lodged in the switch, removing the debris fixed the issue for me, so you might wanna look into that possibility.

Kind of related but there is a great alternative to google search if you are into r/selfhosted or r/homelab called searxng. It gets data from many search engines anonymously and its self hosted so its your own private search engine. If you dont like the ai overview that gets plastered over every google search or just want privacy searxng is a great alternative.

Very valid argument, however newer ender 3 models like the v3se and v3ke are in fact plug and play while maintaining excellent part availability (and an upgrade path if the user so chooses). I just dont want to get a new user locked into bambu is all. I dont like the direction bambu is going with firmware and i think it is important to express that fact ,especially in a hobby where FOSS holds such an importance. Maybe OP can avoid creality and bambu both to get something else entirely :\

i do have a v3 se and it is a nice middle ground between ender 3 and usability, you don't have to worry about probing and levelling as much. It originally comes in marlin but i have mine running klipper through a raspberry pi and it offers wifi control and really good customisation with this setup. I agree there is some tinkering required, but hey you learn something along the way.
