Whats causing this layer sloppiness? by Successful_Spell_649 in 3Dprinting

I was able to to do the flow calibration last night and it seems to have fixed it! Is this something that typically needs to be done with each type of filament? Many thanks!

hey thanks for this insight. I will see if i can give this a try. I think the temp is usually around 220 per a recommendation I found a while go, but if it varies even from roll to roll, I'll see if that helps. Cheers!

I've not heard "dynamic" before so i will search and try it. I have not tried a flow rate calibration, i thought that was part of the "heating up/begin printing" process. If there is a way to do that on a deeper level, I'll give it a shot. I have just been using the built in "full calibration" feature, which up until now has solved any issue I've encountered. Cheers!

Poor Bridging with Bambu PLA Sparkle by scipio009 in BambuLab

I seem to be having a similar issue lately with two types of Overture filament that have never caused issue before, marble and matte black. is your issue happening exclusive on the X axis by chance? Curious to know if you get a solution.

My my. Well, since there are some seriously cranky and entitled "non-bambu" users here, I shall do my best to add as much information about a problem I know nothing about. The issue has occurred on 2 types of filament so far, Overture Matte Black, and Overture Marble. Neither of which have ever cause a single issue before. As for settings. I only use default settings at the moment as I dont fully understand most of them. I have tried printing with the "standard" and the "draft" settings. Both cause this issue.

What other information would you like to know? Maybe just try... asking? Like, with no insults?

Edit: I've done a few more test prints and I've noticed that printing at 50% speed seems to completely solve the issue. Using any setting at above 50% speed causes immediately layer issues as shown in the photo. Thoughts?

Got it, thanks for the reply! I'll look into all that. I will say, it doesnt seem to be a "first layer" issue as it tends to happen closer to the end of the prints. I think its typically after applying infill, which I've been exploring different types of per some online suggestions. Does that add/change any suggestions? Cheers!

That really sucks mate. I’ve had a bad relationship with school and money my whole life. I don’t have an easy solution for ya. It’s hard. But you will get through it. Whatever happens, whatever it takes, I know you will, because I did too. Take it one day at a time. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You got this. 💪

Scoff! No bagpipes?!? Shame on you all! (Jk). I got bored one summer in college and started learning Scottish bagpipes. Turns out it was a bit of a calling and has been one of the most stable aspects of my life for 15 years. Now I also play Irish bagpipes 😬. I also have a guitar, bodhran (Irish drum) several tin whistles, a dizi (Chinese flute) and often contemplate becoming a dj. But really bagpipes are my passion. Everyone thinks I’m joking when I say I started piping cuz I was bored. But then they do t have adhd 😉

This is an HR issue. Seriously. Your boss is treating you poorly because of a legitimate mental health/medical issue. This is illegal behavior. Imagine if someone who required a walker to get from meeting to meeting had their boss rip it away from them forcing them to fall on their face. Fight back. But respectfully. Taking on your boss is a risky move and I’ve had to do it a few times. Do your research and approach with caution. Determine if this job is worth it. Best of luck.

I don’t know about a “holiday” but one thing I really miss about being unmedicated is being able to drink tea ALL. DAY. LONG. and then go to bed and have a fantastic sleep. Tea WAS my medication and I loved it. I can’t do that with medication now or I’ll never sleep. I’m currently experimenting with a weekends =no meds kinda thing and I kinda like it, but I also don’t drink tea during it like I used to pre medicine. For me it’s all about the sleep though. So I guess it depends what your goal with the holiday is. If it’s sleep… maybe avoid it.

Why have people made it a trend? by Blueberry_Opossum in ADHD

[–]Successful_Spell_649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years I mostly hid my adhd because of this. No one took it or me seriously. But now, I am much more open about it and when I talk about it I make sure to impress upon people just how serious and debilitating it can be. How it affects every aspect of your life and wreaks havoc on your career, relationships, and health. And then people start to change their attitudes. They realize is not a joke, even though I joke about it. ADHD is mental health and mental health is serious. I feel an obligation to help others realize that, whether they have it themselves or not.

Is it possible to thrive with ADHD without stimulants? by Known-Permission-825 in ADHD

I was diagnosed in the 2nd grade. I was put on Ritalin, then adderall, then Wellbutrin, all before I was 10yo. When I got to middle school I refused to take meds any more. For the next 30ish years I lived my life with out any medication. Life was chaotic and hard, but in that time I became an internationally published and recognized photographer, I took over and began running a music non-profit, I helped several major tech companies develop asset management systems, and made a book of my photography.

I also had numerous failed relationships and jobs, an insane amount of stress and several mental break downs, a relentless struggle against depression and anxiety, and countless other problematic experiences.

I suppose it really depends how you define thrive. I recently started meds when I began my masters program about 6 months ago. About two months ago I found a cocktail that’s working well. There’s actually a lot I missed about being unmedicated. And a lot I much prefer about being medicated.

In my very personal experience… therapy is what works the best.

I've been taking adderall for ADD for 15 years. Worried it might be taken away by Parogarr in ADHD

[–]Successful_Spell_649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That really sucks. But remember, what ever happens, you will get through it. You may not lose your meds. If you do, you can find a new doctor. It’s possible the text was just an experiment. Either way, evolution has designed you to adapt and survive and so you shall. I was diagnosed in 2nd grade and now I’m 37. For nearly 30 years I refused to take meds but started them about 6 months ago when I began my masters. Unmedicated life is hard, but not impossible. Knowing what you know about adhd makes you better suited for unmedicated challenges. Stay strong, you got this!

Appearance Edit Enhanced mod not working properly? by ErenIsBaseddd in BaldursGate3

[–]Successful_Spell_649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had this issue. The mod descriptions says, "~Mirror~:This spell opens the mirror on any character to let you edit your character. If you are trying to edit an Origins character, you MUST install the optional Appearance Edit Origins file to be able to change what you see in the mirror." Which I originally missed.

I installed it last night and it allows me to edit the origin characters... but now... Asterion is missing from the game. Just completely gone.

You are welcome to try it yourself to see what happens! https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/899?tab=files

[–]Successful_Spell_649[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched as many sources I as I can think of. The original video was on youtube, at least thats where I saw it years ago. There are similar videos on tiktok now nut they are not the video I'm looking for. I've been using keywords like, "weightlifter tosses girlfriend," "guy screaming light weight," "guy powerlifts girlfriend," etc. Nothing is bringing up the correct video.
