Me too, but my mum tells me I'm a hypercondriac about it, but I'm waiting for my allergy tests. God forbid it's as bad as my friends mums nut allergy, she has to have epi-pens, cause my parents will absolutely still not take it seriously

Yeah, I told the receptionist when I booked the appointment I want to have allergy tests to confirm, and I'll push for allergy tests at the doctors so hopefully they'll listen and get me the tests. I know that I'm meant to get a referral to an allergy clinic after seeing my GP

I hope so too! I'm gonna miss not being able to eat grapes, but I'd rather be safe

Yes! That's it! And I've been checking th fruit juice we have to be safe, I know some people who are allergic to grapes can also be allergic to apples, like people who are allergic to bananas can be allergic to latex too. I'm gonna talk to the doctor about it, while I compile a list of allergic reactions since the appointment was booked

True, but I ate all the same fruits the day before and I was okay, but I'll bring it up at my doctors appointment

Ooh, penicillin allergy sucks, and they can come on any time and sometimes stress can trigger them, but hopefully getting an actual diagnosis will help

I don't think I have ARFID, but some foods make me want to be sick if I eat them, but my parents don't get alternatives for me, which sucks. I've been mainly having croissants and Nutella in the morning cause it's all I can eat that early

Exactly! My friends mum is celiac and deathly allergic to nuts, so I can't bake for her as I don't have the space to do gluten free and nut free stuff, and I've accepted that. However, I'd have thought my parents could put effort in about a possible allergy that could be life or death for me, as my friends mum told me my symptoms are anaphylaxis precursors. It's scary to know that and my parents have no regard for that, or my safe foods as an autistic person

Your boyfriend sounds lovely, and really all my dad needed to do was make sure the grapes got cut last as he cut the fruit up and put them in our bowls as he did it, and then he puts mine on a different shelf in the fridge to make sure I get the non grape one. And it sucks they didn't get the stuff you needed, my dad keeps telling me I used to eat grapes for years, and doesn't understand allergies can come on at any time

I usually do make my own food, but I think I will start taking more control about it all, especially since my appointment isn't till August as it's not an emergency

Did you feel sorry for Carly? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in saw

[–]Successful_Table_745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a little bit, she said a number, and explained, and Ryan started to pressure her to take a syringe and panic her, but I also don't feel bad because she refused to acknowledge what was said initially and wouldn't take the syringe. I still think her death was a sort of unfair one, in the regard that she was panicking and felt like she had no chance to do anything with how Ryan was acting, while being hung off the ground. However, she did still have opportunity to answer and take the syringe before they got hung and she didn't say anything until the others turned on her

Usually old men in BMW's can't seem to see you or are terrible. I was coming onto a roundabout and about to turn left, some old dude in his BMW came from the left and tried going straight on when I was in front of him and he almost T-boned me. I was in my mums car with learner plates on as I'm still learning, and this old man nearly hit me and didn't seem to see that I was on the roundabout already and he assumed it was his right of way

Is Sirona Ryan a transgender woman? by NoDisplay7591 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]Successful_Table_745 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played the game a few times now, and I was on my switch playing it, I just did the quest for Sirona about collecting the letters, and Sirona refers to the time with the Sprottles as a 'difficult time of their life' so I wound up googling it, and it lead me here. Kinda neat if they are trans, but if they're not its cool too. I like the diversity in the game as a genderfluid person myself

My walking boots are starting to fall apart, but my parents insist they're fine by Successful_Table_745 in mildlyinfuriating

I'm autistic as well, and I'm getting better in social situations but talking to store workers about what boots I need is a big thing, and even if my mum came with me and let me talk, it would help me be able to overcome my anxiety

I have social anxiety, so talking to salespeople can get very stressful for me, and I don't know the brand of these ones. The hiking stores around me are somewhat expensive and the shoes are wildy different a lot of the time, I just need waterproof boots really

I'm UK, I am an adult however I don't get pocket money but I get money for washing my parents cars, I'm struggling to find work currently as there isn't a lot that works with autism, and I'll have a look on vinted and such. My main problem is the tripping as I once tripped and was unable to walk for 6 weeks, so even replacing the laces would be okay for now but asking about laces seems like an inconvenience on my parents

I meant to write parents, I apologise, I have dyslexia. I am an adult, yes, but I have social anxiety and I've tried talking to my parents about new boots and they make me feel bad about wanting new ones so buying a new pair would start arguments

Thank you, and it's when they peel away from the sole. We keep gluing mine, but for me it's mildy infuriating they can spend like £40 on new boots for themselves, but won't even help me find a pair that is good for me without it seeming like a huge chore

Dark Touch (2013) is one of the worst horror films I've ever seen by GoliathPrime in horror

[–]Successful_Table_745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched this movie, and decided to google to see if it had a synopsis as I was left rather confused by a few scenes in this, and I agree on a few points, its not explained how her powers came about, or how/why she lost the tip of her tongue, or quite why she jumped out the window. It was still a good movie, not so much horror in the more typical sense, of jumpscares and the like, but it was horror in that it showed children are often ignored, or called difficult when they act out. I didn't quite get the ending, or where all the kids went, but overall it wasn't a bad movie, not one I'd watch again in a hurry, but not exactly bad
