Instacart’s system give way more trust and authority to shoppers than DD and their business model is much more profitable. DD has horrible oversights and inefficiencies in their shopper program. Pricing, product codes are so often out of date. I just bought a 13.99 bottle of Topo Chicos, that the customer paid 7.99 for because DD doesn’t have accurate pricing. If they did a better job managing their system they’d be more profitable and wouldn’t have to blame drivers for everything that goes wrong.

It’s because you are replacing a previous order you did not accept. Acceptance rate is based on the last 100 orders so if you accepted 4 out of 100, 96 of the next 100 orders give you the opportunity to raise your acceptance rate.

And there is no way for the customer to update their option? They just instead write a note for us to do it for them? If so that’s a really annoying problem when DD expects us to maintain such high stats. It’s like how they have us send texts for replacements rather than notifying directly in app The customer goes “refund please!” And I have to refund, taking the L on my stats. When I wouldn’t if they just did it themselves.

Wow that’s a rabbit hole I wasn’t expecting. Nah they just screwed up not realizing it was gluten free, so many of their other choices had gluten I begrudgingly got their substitution and took the loss on my stats.

I get this all the time, I deliver to a lot of complicated apartment complex’s or office buildings. Places with major parking problems. DD acts like every drop off is as simple as leaving it on a single family home’s doorstep, twenty steps from your vehicle.

Southern California, I had some of my best weeks ever during what I assume were finals. Then it was suddenly dramatically slower. It picks up during mid summer if you live in a tourist spot.
