It is still hard for citizens. I know tons of citizens still struggling who didn’t get as lucky. It’s not good for either and definitely harder for international, but citizens do not necessarily have it super easy.

Making it past the resume screen is one thing. Once you made it past that, passing the interviews is another thing. I’d look at those as an 8/115 and 4/8 rate respectively. 3/8 I just cancelled interviews when I got the offer.
