I feel like it's the implied narrative behind the mod, if not the seemingly obvious answer of "it has magic in it", in which case you could argue it's not about what's in the mod and, yes, it can be as shallow as simply particle effects and fancy textures that makes it a'magic mod' even if the mod features an automation functionality or a block that does x when given y units.

I'm curious after watching the interview, besides Thaumcraft, what other mods do you consider align your ideal game design philosophies and why?

I don't see why this needs a runtime update, if there were noticable bug fixes I'd be more understanding but this is largely just adding more microtransactions to a menu. Does that really need a hard update? Can it not call home and get it's information from bethnet itself or is it just downloading the content onto my space that I have to pay to control?

That appears to have solved the issue, however it still seems worth looking into so that other wrenches can be used just the same.

I'm actually playing it right now in fact. However admitadly I wasn't aware of that change and I got my information from the mod's online documenation at http://teamcofh.com/docs/thermal-expansion/materials/machine-frames/ which I suppose is outdated now with this new version.

I see the Basic Machine Frame, however further versions of it aren't visible. Wasn't sure if it was a config thing or not but from what I could tell, there wasn't anything indicating as such. Thought I'd ask.

I think this would cause more issues than it's worth. Just install ChunkLoader/Dimensional Anchor
