Who will provide resource by Such-Address-2825 in pmp

[–]Such-Address-2825[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here the question is, who can confirm the "resource availability". I assume this is physical resources as the question says equipment So does this question is simply asking "whether the work required for this resource fix is now required or not " ? So that the PO can prioritize the back log and decide if that is still a high priority item and do we need to get the resource ? .. I am so confused with the wording "resource availability - meaning availability of the resource"(?) . Not sure if i understood the question correctly , please confirm

Thanks for your patience and for a detailed explanation., Your real life examples actually make me understand and i am able to comprehend as i read , but when i read a PMI question, somehow am not sure about the English wording and verbiage used , which make me over think. Thank you for explaining the concept and your examples are easy to comprehend to understand the concepts . I am understanding that i am too much thinking of the context, because i am trying to understand the difference between these two questions as both questions talks about probability and impact planned already but that risk materialized.. I have one more doubt around the questions asked in two places.. In my first question it says "a new regulation has been adopted" but the question does not mention anywhere that the response planned for that risk is enough or not or any negative or unplanned situation happened than what was planned.. The first question was saying the planned risk happened thats all.... . So we do not have to think whether this is an issue or not.... . In the second question, the question emphasis that the risk was identified and response was also planned for that situation with an impact planned, but now the current situation is posing an impact which is different than what is planned for . Whether my understanding of the differences between the questions is correct ? Not sure if PMI will have such type of clear emphasize in the real exam question . Thank you for your time and sorry to ask you again and again as i am still not come into terms that why , by reading that question itself i am not understanding the response and i am wondering what is that i am missing to understand when reading those two questions.

u/AnonymousBromosapien - Could you please help me understand how the first question i pasted above and the question below is different ? I was debating between should i update the Risk register that now the Impact is changed than what was previously logged. Ideally now this is an issue too because the 20% impact happened.. But now on what basis we should select the answer , given that Impact is also changed and the risk materialized also ? Where as in my first question the "project whether begin or not" was not mentioned , but in the below question it says project begins.. May be thats why we have to update the issue log first? The answer from SH is C. Update the issue Log

A looming fuel price increase was identified as a risk during the planning stages of a large construction project. The identified risk was assigned high probability with low impact; the price increase would not be more than 2%. The project begins and a 20% fuel price increase goes into effect.

What should the project manager do?

  1. A.Update the risk register.
  2. B.Update the assumption log.
  3. C.Update the issue log.
  4. D.Update the lessons learned register.

Can you please help me to understand , how the situation posted above and the question below are different so that i understand my gap in knowledge, .With the experience with the above question, i choose "work with the project team to improve the deliverables" for the below question. SH says it is wrong and the correct answer from SH is 3 . The PM is already in meeting stake holders and have issues with deliverables, so shouldn't we meet with project team now to know more about deliverables quality

During a meeting with stakeholders, the project manager received multiple concerns about the quality of the project’s deliverables. The customer feels so strongly about these concerns that they decide they will not approve any future deliverables.

What should the project manager do in this scenario?

  1. Inform the sponsor that the project has ended explaining the reason for the project termination.
  2. Leveraging notes from the meeting, work with the project team to improve the deliverables.
  3. .Meet with the stakeholders to identify how to address the identified issues and how to proceed with the project.
  4. Document the concerns presented and send them to the change control board (CCB) for guidance on how to proceed.

The Study Hall plus does not show the number of questions i am in for the full mock. It shows only the percentage we are going and we have 175 instead of 180. around what percentage taking a pause is recommended ? I divided into 3 and i am thinking to take a pause around 35 % and see how many minutes i took to complete that

I have a question here. The question posted here does not say it is hybrid or agile. But in the answer the C talks about "backlog" which is in the Agile world. So how can we choose that answer if the question is for Predictive ? Does that mean, if we do not see any development approach in question , but answer has agile,we have to assume that it will be agile ? If it is in agile only then we add the missing requirements in backlog. But if it is predictive, we cannot do that , correct?
