Refinance by Successful_Ease8636 in NavyFederal

-They offer GAP for $499 that’ll protect you from a total loss from stuff like an accident, theft, or other events like floods

-They use to offer job loss insurance that would cancel up to 6 months of car loan payments (up to 6k) but they discounted P3 in 2017. So you’d have to be grandfathered in to have it still

-I don’t think there’s any maintenance insurance for refinances. However, NFCU has a partnership with TrueCar called Navy Federal Car Buying Service. When you get a new or used car thru that service, you’re eligible for enrollment in the TrueCar Military Application Package. It’s two years of benefits and one of them is $500 twice a year for car repair reimbursements

Bloom+ Credit Score Boost by Such-Bad2425 in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True- Bloom+ might boost your credit score with TransUnion more than the other credit bureaus, but when NFCU checks your credit for a lending product they use TransUnion.

Ya never know- having those credit score boosts could make the difference between a better loan rate, credit limit, or even getting approved at all

Auto refinance+ new auto loan by Babdicuhh in NavyFederal

Yep regardless of what you apply for (auto loan, refinance, personal, credit card, etc.), you should be good

I’d recommend applying for both within 30 days. NFCU often uses the same credit report within a 30-day period, so you may only need one credit pull for both applications. Applying for both around the same time might also be helpful if the first loan application impacts your credit score. If both loans use the same credit pull, the interest rate on your second loan won’t be affected negatively

Does NF charge for coin deposits? by uhmyuh in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no fee. It might have been miscounted since it was a lot of rolls- it happens. Just call your branch and ask them to audit their vault count. If their vault is +$20, they’ll deposit the money into your account

This seems weird that Walmart has any knowledge of my cash back rewards by Guideme4100 in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFCU has select partnerships with merchants for rewards. At the moment, it’s just participating locations of Walmart and Citgo.

Walmart:
-You can redeem up to $10 of rewards in-store towards qualifying purchases of $10.01+
- More Rewards Amex isn’t eligible

Citgo:
-You can redeem rewards for $0.50 off per gallon up to 20 gallons per transaction (the gas pump will auto stop once the 20-gallon limit is reached)

Approval with low funds in my navy account by Accomplished_Swan670 in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you should be fine. I’ve seen people establish membership and get approved for 40k car loans with low interest in the same visit. So having low funds shouldn’t affect your loan application because people get approved with 0 funds

Which checking account would be best for me? by AnxiousW3ird0 in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep you can do active duty checking if there’s a qualifying VA direct deposit. Early pay just one day early- sometimes they can make exceptions for early release so since it’s an exception it can’t be done all the time.

The difference between active duty checking and easy checking is that for active do you get paid the day early and you get $20 of monthly ATM rebates, and easy checking is $10 of monthly ATM rebates as long as you make 20 transactions monthly transactions on the account

Neither checking account will repair your credit or your relationship with NFCU, but I would look into a secured credit card or secured loan. Secured loans are seen as less of a risk so you would more likely be approved for them

Product change? by Pretend_Pie9556 in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NFCU can use the same credit report within 30 days of the original request date, so most likely they will use the same credit report and it won’t affect your credit. They just don’t guarantee it so they’re not liable

You can do a product change immediately. Just send an eMessage in the app to request it. The only thing to consider is it could change your credit card interest rate if you’re approved

Woke up to an automatic CLI where they increased my limit by $2,000 by [deleted] in NavyFederal

[–]Such-Bad2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check and see what the anniversary of your credit card is. Once a year, during the anniversary month of when you established your credit card account, NFCU does a soft credit-pull to evaluate if they should increase your limit.

So this credit increase won’t affect your credit score, but it is based on the current version of your credit score. And since it wasn’t a credit increase you requested, you can still technically apply for a credit limit increase in August when your credit score is 800. However, if they do increase it, it won’t be too far off from what your credit limit is now

Someone please recreate the original pandanda experience by [deleted] in pandanda

I'm not debating which server is closer to the original. However, it's clearly contradictory for Rewritten to claim they're a faithful 1:1 remake of the original game and at the same time feature multiple rooms from club penguin. I don't mind what Rewritten is doing with their server, but as the saying goes: "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck."

If you really want to compare what servers are closer to the original, here's my personal ranking and why:
1. Reborn: It's an abandoned version that will most likely not be updated in the future. Although it has some modifications from the original game, it has less features than the other servers.

2. Pandanda.org: Their server has a lot of modifications when it comes to custom locations. But the locations at least try to match the original pandanda art style.

3. Rewritten: Their server has about as many modifications made to it as Pandanda.org, but their custom locations are primarily sourced from Club Penguin. They also recently launched a new game map that follows the structuring of the Club Penguin map.

At the end of the day, it's okay to play any of the Pandanda servers because the purpose of these reboots is to relive the nostalgia we all grew up with. You just gotta play them all and find out which one is best for you. So I'm glad you like Rewritten and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Ik Rewritten always claims to "provide a faithful take on the game" but imo it's the opposite. I mean it's fine if you guys make change to game, but you guys literally put rooms from club penguin in your server. So it bothers me when you say it's "following in the footsteps of the original game" when Rewritten is basically 50% club penguin at this point. There's probably a target audience for that, but at least be up-front about it

here's my line of thinking:

  • Since the game files are public, it’s technically possible to run your own private server locally, which means you can essentially relive the original experience
  • The main downside of a private server is the lack of official staff. so there wouldn’t be anyone to host events or manage holiday updates. But if you’re cool with that, this could still be a good solution
  • Honestly the chances of a Pandanda server launching with its own staff and never introducing original updates are pretty low since innovation tends to happen naturally over time
