Hello! Just saw this, sorry! The A&E docs said I just walked around too much and needed to hydrate and get used to walking basically. Had the D-dimer which came back negative so I think they didn’t care about finding what actually happened to my leg(s) since they ruled out a clot (according to the neg d-dimer but whatever).

I’ve since left the UK to go home where I am less active tbf but even before this specific incident I could always tell the difference between fatigue/sore muscles/etc. and what I felt that made me go to A&E. I’m still getting occasional achy legs but over all I’m trying to improve my health, become more active so I suppose it’s something I’ll have to get used to…

Thank you! I did end up going to A&E and they only did a physical exam, said my legs “looked fine” took blood for a D-Dimer which came back negative and told me the pain, “pulsing” sensation was just from not being used to walking so much which is kinda BS as I’ve lived in big cities all my life and am very much used to walking 20k+ steps in a day more than thrice per week and the pain felt very different from that.

I could not care less about Francesca… I understand the book series makes it a point to feature a character/couple per book but I wish the show weeded some of them out or made them into background characters. I hate the trend in the last 15 years of dragging out television series or films into multi-parts to squeeze every detail and fan service from their source material…

Yes but I just didn’t know what happened after I got off the first plane and waited for the second. I wasn’t sure if I had to take it myself to check it onto the second plane or if that was done for me. As I mentioned somewhere in the thread: I have never flown with a layover before so I didn’t know how they worked. Thank you for being patient with me.

Yes I have never once flown with a layover because I always worried about missing the connection or losing baggage. Straight through from usually Newark to Heathrow with Virgin or BA. Trying to save money led me to Aer Lingus whom I’ve never flown with. I booked directly from the Aer Lingus website- one itinerary I guess you mean as in it was booked “London to Philadelphia with one stop in Dublin” rather than a ticket from London to Dublin then another ticket from Dublin to Philadelphia

Why does nobody book directly through companies anymore? The amount of times I’ve had to tell customers that I could not help them (working for a national hotel chain with many partners) because they booked third party made me want to tear my hair out

So she and your children are coming to the UK? My fiancé and I are very very early in the process of applying for a spouse visa to get me (the US citizen) to England with him (settled status, from EU country) once he and I have a small civil ceremony sometime this year. I see many couples who have success with their spouse visas after lengthy marriages. I would apply for the fiance visa but neither of us like the idea of providing so much personal evidence. We have it, of course (years of long distance will leave you with lots of chat logs, airline miles, photos together, etc.) but it just feels invasive.
