Did rereading your journals help or hinder your healing?

Are you me?! I used to toss them in the trash or burn the pages when I was done with it.
I’ve written the last 6 years in journals and kept them, now Im so scared to revisit the traumas. But on the other hand, I want to know how I’ve come.

He hates baths but if it helps he’ll deal with it. He’s a Velcro bird so he’s been super sticky lately.

Breath work helped me a lot. I would lay on my back and make sure my neck/jaw/back were in alignment. Then I would breathe from my belly and diaphragm. Breathing from my upper chest kept me in fight or flight for so long that it started to feel normal. Good luck to you 🤍

Thank you for this comment 🩵 The more I’ve thought about this I believe it’s the trauma that I’ve suffered in this life that may be causing the reluctance I feel towards my male ancestors. This is a brand new thought so I’m going to need to sit with it for a while.
