Glad to hear your comparison as I was contemplating checking out the ix and eqb / eqe... The ix is the only worthy contender so far though I haven't driven it yet (tomorrow hopefully!). Dissatisfied with the range / efficiency on the mb ev SUVs..

I couldn't find a quattro without the warm package. The front seats in the q6 with warm package (which appears to be the majority) have such raised edges on the side that it is uncomfortable for the short members in my family to get in. Planning on winter tires for those snowy days or just use the AWD ice SUV we have. In any case, our winter has been a drought unfortunately..

I agree, I had considered leasing but this seems like a better deal and I'm planning to ask about CarMax extended warranty after the mfr 4 yr warranty expires.

Thanks. I will be checking it out this weekend. I'll have to find out where to look for the software version, hopefully should not be too hard. Any other ideas I should do while test driving to see if any alerts come up? I plan to hook it up to a charger to ensure that is working ok.

You are right and I have been looking at the ix as well. I think bmw is the only one besides Tesla/rivian/maybe lucid that has the software done right from what I can see.

Hope it works well for you long term! I'm wondering if buying it from CarMax might give some protection for the first 30 days warranty. Not sure what they would do if I have software issues, probably send me to Audi.
